I don’t know what’s changed. I’m guessing not using the same ingredients. Got a butter scotch shake. Couldn’t taste the butter scotch at all. Got a cherry limeade. Wasn’t as good as they used to be. But when I opened it after, it was pretty much empty. No cherries or lime. Guess maybe not using fresh ingredients anymore? Hope they improve.

Well, the nubuger is really good but the last time we were there when they opened at 11 am (they need to open earlier like 9 am) the meat needed drained just a bit because it made my bun soggy. BUT, when I go out to eat something wonderful and tasty then this is IT. I rate it better than any other quick place for great food.
In my extensive search for the best cherry limeade in South Central Kansas D & J’s is the only place to have such a tasty one. They get 5 stars for Best Cherry Limeade.
4.5 on the nubuger because I think they still use dehydrated onions on it. I get mine with hold the pickle, hold the dehydrated onions and I get it my way. The people who work there are friendly and do a great job.
The only other thing is I’m still unclear what they want to call it because when you write a check they call it something besides D & J’s. And they also called it Pedro’s on the sign.
So I don’t really care what they settle on for the name of the business as long as it’s D & J’s because it’s been named that for as far back as I can remember and I’ve been going there as a kid I would ride my horse out there for lunch.
Very glad that it’s still open and I can afford to eat here. Overall I will give it a total of 4 and 1/2 stars but I see they are just settling into running (60’s style diner or the malt shop or ???) D & J’s. Good place, great people and fair prices.

The “burgers” are called nuburgers and all it was, was a dry sloppy Joe, they aren’t even burger patties and didn’t taste good. the hotdogs weren’t good either. They don’t have fries or tots or anything like that the closest thing to a side they have is nachos. But the cherry limeade is very good.

Nu way style burgers and nachos were good. Friendly service. Cash only! You walk up and order at the window. No seating for dining in, but would recommend it.
