My mother and I were on a daily road trip and started craving some Mediterranean food. We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I had the falafel bowl and my mom had the chicken shawarma. Both were amazing. The ingredients were fresh and very tasty. The gentleman behind the counter (I’m assuming the owner?) was very nice and provided great service.

Best gyros. Hummus. Sauce. Meat. Pita. And Greek fries. Easily the best I’ve had from Everett to Burlington. If you think it’s too expensive trust… (I don’t think so but) it’s worth the cost. Food comes out fresh and fantastic every single time. Great job guys please keep doing what you’re doing!

First time customer today and we very impressed with the service and the food was amazing, ordered the Beef and Lamb Kabab rice bowl and it was very fresh, flavorful and plenty of food, Wife had the Chicken and Slovaki Chicken wrap and she was impressed with the flavor and freshness, next time in Stanwood we will definitely stop in again!

Absolutely amazing place to eat. The employees were very helpful. They greeted each person that entered the restaurant. The food was fresh and fast. While we were eating they received a call that someone was placing an order, the worker was worried about when the person would be picking up their food because he wanted the food to be fresh for them.

Let me be clear. I gave Petra Gyro 5 stars for atmosphere not so much for the setting (it is a strip mall restaurant after all), though it has its own charm. The atmosphere is more about the staff. They are so friendly, welcoming, charming, and service-focused that they create a 5-star feeling. Then they serve up divine Levantine goodies like the quintessential gyro (that’s pronounced “yee-row”) with all the meat—and vegetarian—options plus a lot more. My husband likes a good beef and lamb gyro and theirs did not disappoint. I opted for a chicken Saj Shwarma—chicken, a warm veggie salad, and scrumptious sauce in a wrap. Yum! And we added a small French fries (which was not so small) which were crisp on the outside, soft and puffy on the inside, and seasoned lightly. All quite delicious and served with a smile! Wish we still lived close by but perhaps our weight will appreciate that we don’t!

This is my third time eating at Petra since it changed from Gyro Stop (keep bring friends.) All I have to say is I loved the Gyro Stop but I dig Petra even more. The restaurant is always spotless (including bathroom), the food fresh, and everyone is hardworking and quick. Especially Mohamed, I don’t think I have ever seen him without a smile on his face. Definitely give the new owners a chance to impress you or win you back if you were previously unhappy with Gyro Stop because they are killing it here. We love the Greek fries, beef and lamb gyros, hummus is so creamy, and fried cauliflower. Everything delicious! Also they have the Stubborn soda which is such a treat.

Absolutely outstanding! This place has the best falafel I’ve ever tasted—crispy, flavorful, and clearly made fresh. The gyro was just as amazing, perfectly seasoned and incredibly satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and made with care, and you can truly feel the dedication of the person working there. It’s rare to find food this delicious made with so much heart. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Petra is arguably the best food in Stanwood. Everything is always super fresh and so delicious, and everybody there is always very friendly and welcoming. I love the Greek salad with chicken, and my husband loves the chicken gyro, but honestly, everything we have tried has been amazing. This is our go-to spot when we don’t feel like cooking a meal at home, which is often. It’s just so good!
