This place has great fresh food and the best French fries since being in Boise Idaho. Their fries were crisp, flavorful, and they had a great garlic dipping sauce that made them pop!
The place was pretty empty when we were here and we were surprised since it was so good.
The birds nest dessert was a FAVORITE for our party so make sure to check it out!!
We came in for lunch and had apps, main course, and dessert for $20-30 per person including tip. The decor does leave you wanting more, but there is lots of space between tables so you feel like you have an intimate space. Come check out this place, they do a great job!!

Very warm and inviting interior, delicious food (decent portions), and great customer service. I tried Petra due to a recommendation from a coworker (specifically their fries). Another friend recommended the baklava. We had dessert (baklava and a tea biscuit), shawarma, Saj with cheese (which was raved about online), tea, Muhammara, and a friend had the special (shawarma tacos). All the food was delicious and the tea was beautifully presented (mint and sage). I definitely will go again and hope to try their lentils. The hot Saj was so simple and yet satisfying I will probably order it every time. The shawarma bowl was so large I took it home and shared it with my family the next night for dinner (decent sizes and reasonable prices). And yes, the fries are very crunchy (yet soft inside), so I know why they’re raved about. But seriously, get the Saj!

Nice seating area, very friendly staff!
Petra Mixed Gill was good. Yogurt & Cucumber Salad was great. Mediterranean Salad was just okay.
We did carry out but the seating area is nicely decorated!

Literally some of the best food I’ve had in Madison in years!!! Fresh, flavorful, unique, and very affordable–all wins in my book. The hummus (or “yummus,” as I like to call it) was 100% THE BEST I’ve ever tasted and it was incredibly smooth. I didn’t want to stop eating, but I was sooooo full!!! The service was friendly and thoughtful, and the food was paced well upon its arrival to the table. The atmosphere was clean and cozy–I especially admired the decorative napkin holders on the table. There was a steady stream of takeout orders coming through while we dined, which was a great sign. The raspberry lemonade tasted homemade with little flecks of lemon in it, and while the baklava wasn’t the best I’d ever had (not enough honey syrup) it was still very good–loved that they offered three varieties (made with cashew, walnuts, or almonds). We will definitely return, no question!

It was nice to try Middle Eastern food here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant. The food was good, but I wish the flavors were a bit more special. I really enjoyed the Turkish desserts at the bakery section though — they were a great way to finish the meal!

This is our family’s favorite restaurant in Madison. We love the saj wraps and the hot saj with Arabic cheese the most. The fries are incredible with great seasoning. Definitely get the hot sauce and fresh pita bread. Excellent, finely sliced cucumber yogurt salad. The price is very reasonable.

I loved this restaurant. The food was delicious. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. I’ve tried baklava and it was one of the best in my life. I recommend the place. I’ll definitely come back and try other items from the menu.

Descent food. Food is not bad, a bit monotonous spice out to my tongue. It hadn’t made my tongue dance.
The hot sauce was not as good as I expected. It tastes like Sambal Oelek in a bottle.

We have been in soooo many Arabic restaurants big names but food taste very bad there. But this one is very very nice and tasty. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Simple calm and quiet environment. Clean as well. Highly recommended for families and friends.

Wonderfully pleasant atmosphere for a meal. The chicken shawarma bowl was excellent and more than amply sized. Great service. The bakery is a bonus. We got baklava on the way out. Highly recommend.
