This was our second time going to Pete’s Steak Shop, and everything was really good and super fresh again. We had the cheesesteak, fries and the Old World Italian — all were packed with flavor and made perfectly. Fresh bread, well-seasoned meats, and nothing greasy. Consistently great food. Typical pizza shop, does serve good cheesesteaks. $16 for a 12 inch just meat & cheese though. For the price, you can go down the street to Grottos for a 12 inch, and it’s $5 less. Pete’s frequently closes early, so inconvenient. They do not serve single slices of pizza.

I ordered extra meat on my cheesesteak and it came with regular meat after being charged for the extra. I called and asked to speak to a manager and a lady said she will help me. She goes and asked the cook and he said he put extra on it. I’ve been buying cheesesteaks from there for years and I know what regular and extra looks like! I’ll never go there again. They just lost a Loyal customer! And I will tell all my friends and family and strangers that asks for a good cheesesteak place to never go there! Sorry Pete.

Sub places at the beach are so common, it must be a tough business indeed. I’ll admit I’ve become a bit complacent with the local spot I usually go to though I like trying out different venues just to see what is new. This spot has survived some time and I just haven’t found a convenient time to try it since today and I’m so glad I did. The thing lacking in some steak n’ cheese subs is just simple flavor and here, Pete’s delivers! The bread was flawless, meat very beefy and this was what stood out the most. We both had provolone, and it was abundant. I also requested fried onions, and they were delicious. My only nit to pick is the request for bacon was charged but as close as I looked, it was undetectable.

Stopped in on the way home from the beach and really enjoyed the food. We had cheese steaks, pizza, and crab bisque. Service was great ordered and ate in 40 min. Food was tasty and prices good. We will definitely be back!

This is upscale fast food restaurant. Steak and Cheese is a must. Has much in the menu, most sandwiches, pizza, even Gyro. We enjoyed StknCh, Onion rings, Gyro platter w/ fries and Grk salad. Gyro meat was too cooked and ended up giving it to the dog as it was too hard to eat. There is an outdoor area where you can sit with your four legged buddy (dog). You order inside and food is brought out by the staff. Bit odd as why water taste like a crab. Overall, food was very decent and enjoyable, staff was very friendly. Place does deliver.

This used to be the best cheesesteaks hands down in Delaware. If I was in Rehoboth working I never missed stopping in. Their prices have risen significantly over the past 5 years. I don’t mind spending, but lately every time I’ve ordered from there for takeout, there has been very little steak on my $16 cheesesteak. I’ve also noticed that if you eat there the size is significantly larger. I could see if this was a one time occurrence, but it has been the last 5 times with quality declining each time. I also believe that they have changed their steak meat as the taste and flavor is not the same quality. Again I don’t mind paying higher prices as everything has gone up, but don’t charge higher prices, lesser quality, and have less meat on your sandwich. My roll should not touch each side.

$50 for 2? On the higher end. Food was good but not anything extraordinary. Atmosphere was stale and not very welcoming. No one smiled back but the cashier. Clean & quiet but will not return due to high prices & odd vibes.

Great sub shop. Our party had the cheese steak sub which was very good. We also had the gyro which was great. Nice, clean restaurant with good service. Great local place. Definitely come check it out when in town.

First time visit.
I didn’t want a lot of bread, so I got the steak and cheese wrap with provolone (ewww – it comes with American cheese? What is that?), mayo on the side. Ample filling … I was starving and could barely finish it. Onion rings (order ’em well done and remember the salt!) on the side (substitute) was a nice touch. Total was under $17.
My only complaint was the style of steak is chopped. To me, that’s pre-digested. It tastes fine – I just don’t care for it that way.
They also have more than a few homemade soups, which is very nice. I didn’t try them but maybe I will next time.
I’ll be back. Looking forward to trying the pizza.

Small pizza, thin crust, pepperoni, mushroom, extra cheese, well done.
Tasty, sweet … but the crust reminds me of Chuck E Cheese pizza. hmmmm … that’s extra cheese? okeee ….
it’s certainly not well done … I had to cook it more at home.
Ruben … bread was a little wet from the kraut but plenty of decent corned beef … I suspect that this is better eaten on-prem rather than carry out.
