I waited to write this review because I wanted to try multiple items before hand. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming.
The bakery is tiny and pretty outdated but it serves the purpose it needs. It’s not open Monday and Tuesdays.
For bread I’ve bought both the bread ends and a loaf of wheat bread. Both are good. I enjoyed the freshness of both and they last about a 2 weeks before going bad, assuming you put it out on your counter top.
The donuts are great! Much better than you would get a Tim Hortons or Dunkin. So if you’re looking for a great donut I would stop here.

Pete’s Oven has the BEST donuts I have ever had! My grandparents live right around the corner from there, and as a young kid, they would take me there every time I went and stayed with them. I hadn’t been there in quite a while and had been craving them, and just the other day I was visiting my grandparents and decided to stop by there. I went at around 11:00 am on a Wednesday, so most kinds of donuts were already completely sold out and it was very slim pickens. I got one of their regular cinnamon rolls, a cinnamon roll with peanut butter on top, and a glazed donut with chocolate frosting on top, which I had never seen or heard of before. I always thought you either got just a plain glazed donut or a donut with just the chocolate frosting on top (my two favorite donuts), but not the two combined. It was SOOOOOO good. After eating the glazed with chocolate frosting, I wanted to immediately go back and buy more of them, but unfortunately, it was the last one. Both the regular cinnamon roll and the cinnamon roll with peanut butter on top also were very delicious . I’m not sure what time they make all of their donuts for the day, but I know they had been sitting on the rack for at least 5-6 hours and still tastes fresh. Their quality is consistent and superior and the dough is always made and fried to perfection. I have yet to find a donut shop that can match or even come close to Pete’s Oven and I highly highly recommend you give them a try next time you want a donut, you will not be disappointed. I wish I took some pictures of the donuts so I could post them and show how good they look. Next time I go back, I will be sure to get some pictures, as long as I can get them taken before I eat it all.
P.S. Try to get there close to the time they open or at least somewhat early if you want a bigger selection of donuts to choose from, because they sure do go fast!!!

Acceptable for the area, pricing is decent, but fritters used to have more apple, cook, texture, size, and attention to detail used to all much better. You might need to ask if they have more in the back of your favorite style as sometimes they do not replace the trays if they are busy.
I know locals love this place and that’s fine. I’ll get it in a pinch or if I don’t want to drive 15-20 minutes in other directions to my other favorites.

Great bakery with real food; better than what Grandma makes. In a recent visit there, I was treated with authentic kindness. Made my day. I also bought some excellent pineapple muffins. This place is an important fixture in Waterford. Everybody knows that if you want to grab some goodies before work, Pete’s is the only place to go.

Pete’s Oven has been a staple throughout my life. I recently ordered this birthday cake and it was decorated so beautifully! It was exactly what I pictured in my head when I was describing it. They hit the nail on the head every year and I cannot imagine getting a cake from anywhere else. Tastes amazing too.
