I ordered the Supreme Burrito, it was generously sized and smothered in a delicious sauce. The combination of rice, beans, lettuce, and my choice of protein was a flavor explosion.

To top it off, they included a serving of large tortilla chips, which were perfect for dipping.

The prices were quite reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality and quantity of food we received. The friendly service was the cherry on top of our dining experience. I can’t wait to return for another beachside meal!

One of my least favorite tacos I have ever had was their carnitas taco. The pork was baron of any kind of moisture meat was charred hard and was obviously cooked possibly several days before and reheated . They do not even have el pastor available,And the corn tortillas for both my tacos were stale. The salsa and vegetables were ok and they do not have limes. What kind of Mexican taco place is this? Well at least they were friendly.this was my second visit there results were similar the first time but I thought I’d give it a try once more since I’m local.

Pete’s Mexican Food ~ don’t underestimate the quaint exterior and unassuming interior. What you will find is a great menu, tasty food, nice portions, and a friendly, hardworking, family-run business. It is a great place that is just far enough from Main St that you can avoid the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to jump right back into it when you’re done eating!

This place is insanely delicious and super affordable. The tacos are BIG, I got carnitas tacos and they might be the best carnitas tacos I’ve ever had. The folks who work here are really nice, the service is quick, and it won’t break the bank.

New place for us. But been in hb for 40 years. Food was huge and can be shared. Dad and son working together. Everything was perfect. Very small place if eating in.

The best hash browns I’ve ever had (on the 1st bite). Heavous rancheros was amazing. Perfectly cooked eggs. The hash browns are the best on earth . I’m coming back for the hash browns. This was a wonderful dining experience for lunch on the patio. The prices are very reasonable for the quality food (individually owned restaurants are facing challenging times in the industry). The Chips and SALSA are deluxe

My favorite type of restaurant…A hole in the wall with great food and excellent service! I had my usual ground beef taco and cheese enchilada with red sauce combo, served with rice and refried beans. The cheese enchilada was exceptionally yummy and the beef taco was good. I think I expected the meat to taste like Ortega taco mix that you get in the grocery store, so I don’t know if a girl from Florida should be judging true Mexican tacos. I’m just used to the grocery store and Taco Bell. But the taco was very good!

Nothing was spicy at all, thank goodness! I asked first this time, and they assured me nothing was spicy and they told me the truth. The refried beans and rice were excellent. I don’t usually care for refried beans and rice, but these were something to brag about. The chips and salsa was the main event, however! The chips were about the size of my palm, and they were delicious! The salsa was very good, too! The guacamole was ok and expensive. I’ve had better guacamole, but it was still good.

The service was another highlight! think it was the owner that kept coming outside and checking on me to make sure everything was OK, speaking to me in simple Spanish, which made it fun!

They have a few tables inside and a few tables outside. It was a beautiful August day in Huntington Beach with a temperature of 75° and with cool breeze, so I sat outside and it was wonderful! I could have never done that in Florida this time of year.
