Those gyros are the best! The French dip was good! Best place to visit if you like history! This diner has been around for a while! I would say this is one of the best Greek restaurants in town. Dining here is good way to support your local business!

Great experience! The service was phenomenally fast, coffee refills every few minutes, and huge portions! Not common to find decent diners with good all 3 points. Atmosphere is nice as well, bustling, good music, it makes me feel at home here. If you’re stopping through and need a relaxed and friendly diner, this is the place. I’ll be back soon!

Went here for the first time for breakfast during lunch. First and foremost, shout out to chef Justin and our server Kaylee (spelling?). Breakfast was phenomenal with healthy portions! From the biscuits and gravy, to the crispy bacon, to the absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked home style potatoes, all amazing. However, the pancakes! The pancakes were some of the best of the pancakes I’ve had! They were lightly crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the center. Needless to say I over ate because I could not stop eating the pancakes!!
Kaylee was an absolute delight and made everything that much better. We felt welcomed, she was funny, and took great care of us with regular check ins. There’s some construction out front, but don’t let this discourage you. We took the back streets and avoided Colfax. This is a cute diner with a lot of history and charm! I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this diner!

Pete’s Kitchen is that rare kind of diner that feels like it has been stitched into the soul of Denver. There is a reason people talk about this place the way they do. It is comforting, familiar, delicious, and proudly itself. When you walk through the door, you instantly feel the whole vibe: the energy, the regulars chatting away, plates clinking, coffee being topped off, and staff who hustle with total purpose. It is exactly what a classic diner should be. No frills, all heart.
I came here hungry and curious, and I left in a full-on food-coma happiness state. My star order was the breakfast burrito, because if you’re in Denver and you don’t test the breakfast burrito game, what are you really doing? This one absolutely delivered. Perfectly rolled, generously stuffed, and covered in that glorious green chile that smacks you with flavor without overwhelming the other ingredients. Eggs cooked just right, potatoes soft inside with a crispy finish, and cheese tying everything together like a perfect brunch glue. Every bite earned a happy nod from me.
Since I have zero self-control in diners, I also got biscuits and gravy, because life is too short not to. The biscuits were fluffy, warm, and fresh, and the gravy was rich, peppery, and comforting in a way that makes you want to slow down just to savor the moment. That’s true diner magic. Add a side of bacon and suddenly you’re in a full-scale American breakfast celebration. The bacon here hits the sweet spot: crispy edges, no floppy nonsense, and that great salty crunch that balances out the creamy gravy and hearty burrito.
Coffee kept flowing the entire time. It is the no-nonsense kind that wakes you up quickly and never leaves your cup empty. Service here fits the exact charm of the place. Efficient, friendly, fast, and definitely real. They treat you like you’re part of the morning rhythm, not just another ticket. There’s an authenticity in how they operate that made me smile every time they swung by to check in.
The crowd here is such a mix: late-night legends, weekend regulars, families, tourists, exhausted heroes fresh off the night shift. Pete’s Kitchen is the crossroads of Denver life and everyone belongs. It doesn’t matter if you’re wearing yesterday’s outfit or Sunday best. Grab a seat, enjoy the chaos, and fall in love with a place that has been feeding generations.
I love restaurants with personality and Pete’s Kitchen is bursting at the seams with it. It is nostalgic, flavorful, and refreshingly unpretentious. The food hits the spot, every time. The pricing is fair and the portions will never let you leave hungry. This is the kind of spot you recommend to anyone visiting, but also keep in your personal rotation like a treasured tradition.
Bottom line. Pete’s Kitchen is a Denver staple for a reason. That breakfast burrito alone would be enough to make me come back again and again, but throw in those biscuits and gravy plus the perfectly cooked bacon and suddenly you’ve found your new brunch headquarters. Five huge stars from me. I already know I’ll be back soon, probably earlier than I should admit.

I’ll give it one star because food is really good and fast. I look forward to eating at Pete’s every time I’m in Denver, which is every other month lately. I eat there every day. But the service is the worst, they give attitude out of the gate. Today, the server acted put out to take my order. They were not busy 3 tables and me. They stood behind me, I couldn’t even see them while I ordered my drink. Then I asked about the price the manager’s special on the board, they said “$8.50” (mon-fri), it was Saturday, I garuntee 100% with certainty, she was going to charge me the full $13.50 at checkout, which I would gladly pay, If they were honest. Then they brought a wet menu covered with black liquid, it looked like mop water. When I mentioned it to the server, no apologies, she gave me a new menu and deflected to the server wiping down the menus. So I got up and left. I’ve been in the service industry for over 20 years and consider myself a great tipper, If the server is great and positive I’ll tip 100%, no problem. In my career I have always been polite, professional and treated my customers with respect.
Bad attitude, dishonesty and falure to be courteous to customers screams volumes about the waitstaff there. This was not an isolated incident, I’ve eaten there over 20 times in the past four months, I’ve only had one good server. But the food is good so I’m sure Pete’s will survive.

I haven’t been to Pete’s in forever. It’s still the same little cute diner it’s always been. Everyone at my table at the gyro meat in some form and said it was delicious. I have the pork souvlaki and it was dry, but the fries were tasty. The tzatziki sauce was spot on. The service was impeccable! Would recommend for a late night meal.

This place is one of the greatest diners in the world. This place is incredible. You’ll be so lucky if you get to have Alexis as a waitress, she’s the best server in town let alone at this diner. She always knows the best items on the menu. I love when I come here and I bring my friends and Alexa gets to serve us. I love this diner and I’m gonna keep coming here for the next 10 years.
