I went for breakfast one morning and was immediately charmed by the atmosphere inside. The woman at the counter was fast to greet us. A simple menu with classic breakfast items and another menu for lunch. We ordered at the counter and took our coffees to a booth. The woman serving us was fast, polite, and spoke very clearly so there was no confusion about anything. If you like retro digs and simple but filling meals, this is a great place to enjoy an easy morning. As we were leaving, there were a few older gentlemen checking out a vintage car, which just really sold the whole vibe and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning for one of their burgers soon.

What an awesome little gem! A café that looks “retro” but is just a 1970-80’s time capsule. Clean, fast, friendly service. My husband said it tasted like home cooked, and that’s a huge compliment. Order inside or at the drive up parking spaces.

Came across this place when I took a different exit to avoid traffic. Nice little diner. Order at the counter and cozy dining area. Food was good and served on Styrofoam plates. If it keeps the prices low, then good on them. The hamburgers were good. Fries were OK, but nothing special.

Our burgers were great! We finished our meal with a root beer float, which was fantastic. Many times you go to a hamburger place and the tomatoes are awful. Here, the tomatoes were great. While Pete’s has a good lunch menu, we were told that their breakfast is even better.

This is a neat place to try if you are in the area.
Service was business like. Not unfriendly, but not pleasant either.
I had the bacon double cheeseburger as a basket with fries and coleslaw.
The burger was excellent, cooked perfectly, and all the toppings included. The fries were undercooked but tasted fine. The coleslaw was very good.
I enjoyed talking with the locals, and I would definitely stop in again.

Ive eaten there exactly 3 times. The food is just okay. You’ll get a better burger at any of the local pubs.

This was my second choice, the other local breakfast place was very busy and had a wait. Being the organic, vegan eater that I am, this is not a place I could eat at very often at all But my husband, who is a farmer had a great appreciation for this place. He had the ham, hash browns and eggs. Standard and he enjoyed every bite. My cinnamon roll wasn’t vegan at all or organic for that matter but it tasted good. I don’t even know if it was homemade and possibly microwaved. But, the atmosphere, owners & local patrons are what makes this place 5stars. We appreciate small, local business and we left full and happy. It’s a go here, it’s the nostalgia, they’ve been in business 51 yrs. ❤
