AMAZING! I cannot say enough great things about the SERVICE and FOOD that this restaurant provided during my husband’s surprise birthday party! One guest described the cabbage like, “butter!” That along with the jerk chicken, the spicy sauce, party sized beef patties, and the ox tails were so very DELICIOUS! The delivery and setup were on time and the presentation was just as great as the food! Thank You! I will DEFINITELY be using your services again soon!

I stopped in to get beef patties and ordered one chicken patty to try. I took one bite and then realized it has a green spot (mold or marker?). Idk what it is but it grossed me out. I did try the beef patties after checking them out and those were fine. I tried calling to let them know they may need to check their chicken patties but no answer.

They charged me $23 dollars for a large oxtail. They literally gave me like 4/5 oxtail, and they were not even full sized. How 3/4 of them going to be smaller oxtails? They put lots of rice and gravy, no oxtail. I’ve been going for YEARS. I’m NOT going any more. How can you raise the price and lower the quantity? If they raised the price, but gave the same amount they used to, that would make sense. You raise what we pay to cover the cost of what you give. You can’t raise the price and lower the service. They are saving money instead of customers… I do not think this business is going to survive!!! I NEVER thought I would say this about Pete… Pete is a nice guy, but this is bad… I actually took my food and went to Golden Crust and paid again for oxtail. I’m so disappointed and I’m sorry Pete, but this is unacceptable… I used to send so many people here, I can not do that anymore…

Food is always good but the portions are slacking lately. I used to get more than 5 (small-med) bones for a large, nearly $30 plate. I really wish the value was there. Otherwise this is a 5 star review.

Good price. Patties are GOOD. Food is average served hot and fresh but not as much flavor as I’m used to. Chicken was mostly bones. Will give them another try. Will come back for some Ackee

I was only stared down instead seeing if I needed help with placing an order since it’s my first time entering here. She just literally stared at me. It was so awkward. I understand maybe waiting on me to say something… but being with me being in the customer service field for 10+ years it’s like people need to be trained on service. Trained to ask “is this your first time here” maybe share what’s your favorite item on the menu…she was a sweet lady but awkward service. I didn’t feel like they wanted. I’m just trying to support a business in my off day. I walked out. I felt like I was bothering them. No Caribbean aromatics was surrounding the restaurant anyways. I literally just left. I decided to stop by here for lunch since I had the taste for Jamaican food and saw the great reviews. I was very ecstatic to see all the fish options and selected the escovitch since it’s one of my favorite Jamaican dishes. The tilapia is cheaper than the salmon and the snapper, which runs about $16 to $18, depending on the size. I ordered the tilapia for $9 and some change, which was a really good deal for escovitch. I also ordered the small serving, which was was quite a bit of food. The food was okay, not what I expected of escovitch but I do plan to return in try something else being that they have such great reviews. I also stopped by on Wednesday, which is when they have the patty deal but they were out of the veggie patties before noon and apparently don’t make the shrimp patties anymore. Everything is made in-house and the staff is extremely friendly. I definitely plan to return but try something different.

I have visited this establishment several times over the years. The last few visits the food has been not so good! It was a group of us, and none of us finished our food after a few bites. The food was not tasty at all! The young lady professionalism and customer service was dry and rude. She does not need to be dealing with customers. This was my last time at this establishment.
