Me and my wife travel a lot all over the US. , so we try a lot if different diners and such. This place is a gem. Very delicious homemade food. Service is quick. Very affordable. We had the Pete’s special and Catfish dinner with sweet potato fries, Home fries, mashed potatoes, corn bread, bacon ,eggs, grits. And coffee. Chicken friied steak.. biscuit and gravy.. The home fries, and mashed potatoes were definitely homemade, the corn bread and French toast as well. Catfish, quite possibly homemade..not sure. But for 26.02….a great worthwhile stop.

Happy anniversary! So glad we finally checked this spot out. The food was incredible (the chicken and waffles, huevos rancheros, and cinnamon roll are *chefs kiss*!), the service was friendly, and the place was spotless. 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

We ate at Pete’s Cafe for breakfast on a Sunday morning. All of the waitstaff was courteous and gave the impression that they genuinely cared.
We ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and boy did they deliver! The meal was $13 and it came with fresh biscuits(or toast), eggs (your way), hash browns and of course the steak. When I say this food is fresh, I’m telling you I have been to hundreds of restaurants in my life and this place will stand out at one of the best and freshest breakfasts I have ever had! If I’m ever in the Dallas area again, this is a for sure stop.
Oh also, they’ve got some pretty good jams playing.

If you are going down I45 near Hutchins stop at Pete’s Cafe! Great comfort food and a large menu of breakfast! Burgers looked great too. Terrific Service. Super cute decor! I loved my omelet and my husband’s Chicken Fried Steak was cooked perfectly which is not a given at most places! They kept my coffee warm, even had decaf and since I can’t eat wheat she gave me corn tortillas in place of toast or biscuits and I had a great breakfast taco! Above and Beyond!

Was skeptical of Pete’s because of the strip mall atmosphere, but walked in and was greeted with warm people and hot coffee, and with a blink of an eye I’m taking a bite into the Chicken Fried Steak was so flaky and hot, loved their version of the hash brown and paired well with their mild hot sauce. Don’t sleep on the baked goods here the biscuit was so flaky and delicious, and best grits I’d ever had. Good job guys

Best brunch spot in DFW! Everything tastes delicious and all homemade! We love the original Farmers Branch location so happy they have added a new location! This new spot is so cute love the modern look! Our kids loved their food! Best tasting kids menu! They loved the chicken tenders which taste homemade. The kids pancakes are so cute they loved the toppings it comes with. The biscuits and gravy are soooo good!

Food wasn’t all that great for $20 could have went somewhere better. $20 ,2 pancakes and omelette IHOP taste better in my opinion. Service was excellent I was amazed how great the employees were.

This is a really cute place off the highway. They had great service staff quickly getting our drinks and napkins. Its a comfy environment and the food makes it that much better. I got the waffle and bacon and my family got breakfast tacos and strawberry pancakes and we all loved our food! Would definitely recommend for breakfast if you’re in the area!
