The food was exceptional. No matter what you choose from the menu, every dish is consistently delicious—thanks in large part to the high‑quality ingredients and the care that goes into each creation.
This certainly won’t be our last visit. We look forward to returning to our quiet oasis and this hidden‑gem restaurant.
The space itself is beautiful, and we were tucked into a stunning private room that worked perfectly for our large group. You can tell they put real love and care into both the food and the customer service. It was also a pleasure working with Liz in the lead-up to the event. Highly recommend for a special group dining experience!
From the bar to the table, everything just worked. We started with a Manhattan, two glasses of Cabernet, and I had a Santa’s Little Helper (which sounds festive and drinks even better – it has Espresso, peppermint vodka, some Kahlua, Bailey’s, simple syrup, and a peppermint candy rim!)
Food-wise? Locked in. My wife went with the scallops and the butternut squash soup, both absolutely dialed in. I started with the pâté (rich, smooth, and exactly what it should be), and the lasagna for my entrée was comfort food that clearly had some thought and care behind it.
Dessert sealed it. I’m a lemon sorbet guy through and through, but the raspberry sorbet was the closest cousin and totally delivered. My wife had the bourbon pomegranate crisp, which was the kind of dessert you keep “just tasting” until it’s mysteriously gone. Coffee was excellent too, which matters more than restaurants think.
Add in the atmosphere of the house itself – warm, historic, intimate without feeling stuffy – and you’ve got a place that feels special without being pretentious.
If you’re in Williamsport, PA and want a night that feels intentional, relaxed, and genuinely well done, The Peter Herdic House is it.
Downgrade for charging for using a cc. I’ve researched this and at worst, cc and cash cost the same. Most do not think about the cost of handling cash, counting, ‘lost’ and counterfeit bills, transport to a bank, and it’s just plain dirty. I object to subsidizing cash sales.
Anyway, I’d recommend, just bring those germ ridden bills
