Let me say this, it’s not easy opening a new restaurant. Coordinating new staff to the menu, getting supplies, providing to go items. Nothing is easy. This restaurant does a good job with fresh food and good service. They had only been open four days when I went there. It was a good experience. The hot and sour duck soup was great.

We were invited to the soft opening last night to taste our way through the menu, explore the gorgeous new space, and even met the award-winning Chef Peter Chang himself!

With 20+ locations across Maryland and Pennsylvania, this spot brings premier Chinese cuisine right to Annapolis. They have Chinese tapas + small plates, dim sum, soups, and a flexitarian-friendly menu with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options so everyone at the table can find something they love.

The signature dish is the Peking Duck! It was DELICIOUS! You can actually watch it being prepared through a window while you wait too – such a fun touch!

They’re still waiting on their liquor license, but the food and vibes are 100% ready for you.

BEST CHINESE FOOD I’VE EVER HAD! Can’t wait to come back soon!

Space is cramped right now, and it’s noisy in there, but food is worth the effort. Small dishes are similar to some at his Arlington restaurant. The big Sichuan fish was good but not easy to enjoy at tiny table for two in this space. The eggplant with egg tofu was a nice surprise, as was the dry fried spicy eggplant.

Once again, Peter Chang delivered quality, authentic, and delicious Chinese food. After the weeks of anticipation, Peter Chang’s latest location in Annapolis finally held its soft opening last Thursday. My husband and I along with some friends tried them out tonight. The food was delicious! Each dish had its own unique taste and texture with the right balance of savory and sweet. We ordered the Peking duck, osmanthus honey pork ribs, signature soup dumplings, dry fried red pepper chicken, were just a few of the dishes we ordered. They also have an extensive option of vegetarian and vegan dishes that were just as tasty.

Keeping in mind that this was a soft opening, the restaurant was noisy and the dining rooms lacked finishing touches like decorations. They also seem to be a bit short staffed. All understandable since this is a soft opening period, not the final finished Peter Chang experience. Great food. I’m looking forward to updating my review to five stars when they officially open.

Really enjoyed our dinner there, For a soft opening I thought they did great. Super busy and the staff worked hard to accommodate. I normally go to the Columbia location and found the food to be very comparable A bit nosily so hopefully they will address that int he near future. But the food was really good Nice selections on the menu that differs from those at. other asian restaurants in the area. Glad Peter Changs came to Annapolis !

We had a great experience, especially considering they’ve been open less than a week. We used to travel to Baltimore to enjoy the food, so having one in our backyard now is the best.
We ordered six different small plates and enjoyed every dish. David’s service (and humor) made it even better.
We’ll definitely be back soon to try more of the menu!

As fans of Peter Chang’s other area restaurants we are excited to have one open in Annapolis! We visited shortly after their opening. We found the food lived up to or exceeded the standard set by the sister restaurants—delicious. As might be expected for a new establishment, the service had a couple hiccups, but the staff clearly cared deeply and were working hard. We will definitely be back!

As a party of 2 we scheduled a 7pm reservation on Thursday Feb. 26 for the “soft opening “. We were seated behind the hostess stand wall beside a plug in air freshener. Whyy???? We requested to be moved and to remove the air freshener. Only the air freshener moved. Plenty of seating was available, and a number of parties of 2 were seated at a table for 4, however I guess we weren’t worthy. We wanted to see what the hype was about and opted to try several different items 1. egg scallion fried rice-ok, lacked flavor and smelled of burnt rice that was dropped on a flame 2. Salt and pepper crispy shrimp -dry and the shrimp was definitely a 40/50 count 3. Dry spicy white beech mushroom- the numbing of the throat left little to be desired 4. Fire cracker cilantro fish roll- overcooked, the dipping sauce had more flavor and couldn’t taste the fish 5. Combo lomein, the protein is almost non existent 6. Stir Fried Black Bean Chili Beef- the chili dominated the meal and overwhelmed the slices of beef and honestly for $32 , where is the quality in the meat? Overall, the food lacks flavor and for the price I don’t see the quality. The restaurant may be conveniently located in Annapolis however we will not return. My suggestion is to give it a try and decide for yourself.

We had the whole Peking Duck which was wonderful. Vegetable dumplings, tofu Dan Dan noodles and fried eggplant were all great. Our server Kyle did a great job guiding us through the menu. Excellent meal.
