The barbecue, potato salad and cornbread were all delicious. Carolina barbecue is hard to find anywhere in the northeast, so I enjoy it when I visit and Pete Jones does it great. The cornbread was flat yet dense, a combination I haven’t had before but absolutely loved. All for about $10.

Good food but when you change stuff people know it consistently is key banana pudding has been scratched made which is why I get it but today boxed pudding homemade pudding isn’t sunshine yellow and cookie ratio is way off and you changed sauce on the barbecue chicken it use to taste just like the Shriners sauce but today to much vinegar my baked beans barbecue chicken potato salad and cornbread was excellent don’t get mad and come for me just fix it please and thanks in advance otherwise 5 stars on food

Amazing!!! I’ve been eating from Pete Jones Barbecue since I was a child. I’m sixty years old now. I remember Mr. Jones when he was working in the store. Now his grands are running it just like he was and his father before him.. He would be pride. The food has the same flavor. It’s like when I was a child coming from Forth Barnville, NC. Ten thumbs up !! For keeping the torch alive!!! My mom has to have some every time I go to VA to see her, she’s been eating since her childhood and she is 82 now.

I grew up in the area, well near by and my family always loved the bbq and it still tastes fairly well, still has somewhat of the taste i remembered. The young fellas that greeted me were very nice and respectful, yes ma’am, no ma’am etc. Love that southern respect . But I must say that the corn bread has to be the worst I’ve ever tasted on earth in comparison to the bbq and Slaw, its not even worthy to be on the same tray I swear. I thought over the years someone would’ve told them how awful it taste but nope, to date they’re still using that all purpose I guess. Good otherwise but do not, I repeat, do not get the corn bread. I told my husband it was horrible but he wanted to try it anyways and of course he regretted it after 1 bite. I guess Pete Jones says they come for the meat ma’am not the bread and I say hey if it keeps making dollars I guess it keeps making cents so why change!
