I’ve been craving Peruvian food since travelling there years ago, and this place absolutely delivered! It was just bringing back all the wonderful memories! We got some ají de gallina (my fav), fried fish with yucca and fried rice, and some chicha morada. Everybody coming here was speaking Spanish with the staff. Really authentic food. Generous portions. I love this place so much! Highly recommend

It was my first time at this restaurant and I must say the food was amazing. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was quiet and clean. I will most definitely come back.

Nice little spot. Casual dining, but seemingly authentic food. I’m not South American, but it appeared many of the customers are. The food is quite tasty. If you want to try something different, this is a good place to try out. Who knows, it could become a regular spot for your lunch or dinner.

I have been coming to Peru Cafe Express for over 10 years and the food has always stayed consistent. It is truly one of my favorite restaurants in all of Houston. The owners and staff are always friendly and the food is amazing. (I still wish they served seco de pollo, but every other dish makes up for it.)

The empanadas de carne are incredible and my go to plates are the pollo or lomo saltado. Both are always packed with flavor and never disappoint. And of course, you have to get an Inca Kola or Kola Inglesa with your meal. It completes the experience.

If you have not been yet, do yourself a favor and come try it. You will enjoy it just like I do and you will probably keep coming back too.

We go here every time my husband and I want to have lunch during his lunch break. It is right across from the greenway plaza. The lunch menu is affordable and it tastes as if we were in Peru! The alfajores are the best in town too!

Hidden Gem!!! This restaurant is delicious!!! So many authentic plates to pick from. My husband got Lomo Saltado, I got Pollo Saltado, empandas de carne y queso. Kids got Salchi papa and it was all amazing. So much flavor in every plate and everyone enjoyed it. Don’t let the small restaurant fool you! Super Delicious. Will be back again soon!

First time here and last! Owner was very rude she won’t allow any substitutions even though it’s same price on their menu. Paid the up charge. Ordered Milanesa De Pollo overcook and very dry, soup was puree with not much flavor, salad small with only Italian bottle dressing, then was given dried out limes and warm water with no ice to drink! Definitely would not recommend this place!!

We were looking for good authentic Peruvian food and we definitely found that here. To start my husband and I shared the ceviche mixto which was so so good. For entrees we had the tallarín verde and the ají de gallina which were both finger licking good! Also I highly recommend the chicha morada and flan which are both homemade. Food was very delicious and authentic. Shout out to the owner Carols who was very welcoming and sociable. We will definitely be back.

Came here with some friends a few days ago, and we had a great time! It was my first time trying Peruvian food, and I loved it! We ordered a pitcher of chica morada, causas and anticuchos for an appetizer, and lomo saltado, ceviche, tallarin verde con bistec, and the fried seafood platter for entrees. Everything was delicious! The service was quick and our waiter was helpful and friendly. The parking situation is solid; they have a parking lot. Would definitely come back!
