We went in not knowing what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised with the menu and atmosphere. The prix fixe menu came with an entree, appetizer, and a dessert. I ordered the artichoke, vegetable pasta, and fig strudel myself. The artichoke dip was and 8/10 and filling. The pasta could have been seasoned better but still enjoyable at 6.5/10. And the fig strudel was absolute perfection at 10/10. One of my favorites yet. Definitely worth a visit with great customer service.

Perso is amazing. Great food, very affordable (for a cute fancy date) and accommodating (gf has allergies and the staff made sure she was well taken care of). We both got different items from the Prix Fixe and we loved every bit of it and were stuffed!

Been told about this place for awhile. And it was good. I got the baked pasta. And it was good. But the sausage was a little bit dry. The flavor was good. But It was ok. I also think it would be great to have bread on the side. We where expecting the prix fixe to be going on while we where there. But Friday is the day they don’t do it. So that was a bummer. I’ll have to go back not on a Friday to try it. But overall I will go back again in the future.

We had the Chef’s Table and were really disappointed with what we received. The four starters, two mains and a dessert included for two people for $55 each sounded fabulous, but the starters ended up being two dips accompanying a piece of flatbread (one whipped ricotta option and one seed based that was pretty tasteless), roasted acorn squash (this was okay) and some very floppy pork belly, overall very underwhelming. The mains following this were a cod in carrot purée (meh) and a very thick pork chop (we weren’t thrilled to have pork again with so many other things on the menu) that was so dry we ended up leaving it. We did tell the servers about the pork and they were very kind and comped a round of drinks. We asked for the dessert to go as we were kind of bummed out over the whole experience, and unfortunately the butterscotch mousse looked so much like baby poop in the takeout box that we tossed it. It was a real miss for us, unsure if this the norm or not.

Perso is an absolute gem in Louisville. From the moment we walked in, the warm and stylish atmosphere set the tone for an incredible evening. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and packed with flavor —we had several appetizers including the pancetta, ricotta, and fontina rillet which were all delicious. The soft baked egg was rich, comforting, and brought me back to my childhood while still being innovative. The Lane snapper with carrot glaze was an absolute standout and compares to dishes we’ve had at Michelin starred restaurants.
Their house cocktail, the pawpaw gimlet, was elegant and perfectly balanced — a must-try. Service was friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed, which made the whole experience even better.
Perso is doing something truly special in Louisville, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

This was an incredible experience, as alone diner and Englishman travelling the US, i have been to many places and this is a standout. From entering the cool decor and amazing vibe, the staff incredibly welcoming. The team so knowledgeable on the menu and food was tough to pick what to eat. The lamb tartar and steak were excellent. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Perso in Louisville, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Despite making a last-minute reservation, Madison at the restaurant was incredibly accommodating and managed to fit me in, even though they were quite busy.
The atmosphere was bustling, and it seemed like my server had more tables than usual, but they handled it with grace. The food was solid, especially considering the price. I opted for the Prix Fixe menu at $29, which was outstanding value. The Ribollita was hearty and flavorful, the Cod was perfectly cooked, and the Chef’s choice dessert, a fig strudel, was a sweet and satisfying end to the meal.
Although Madison wasn’t my server, she made a point to check in on how my meal was and how my night was going. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor were much appreciated, and I made sure to thank her for arranging the reservation.
Overall, Perso offers great food at a reasonable price, and the staff’s dedication to customer service truly stands out. I highly recommend giving it a try!
