Very disappointing experience. I ordered chicken biryani and clearly told them that I do not want spicy food. Even after that, the biryani I received was extremely spicy, to the point that it was hard to eat. The taste was not good at all.
The chicken was burnt and black, and the meat tasted bitter, like it was overcooked or burned badly. Instead of being flavorful, the biryani tasted harsh and unpleasant. This is not how chicken biryani should be prepared.
Biryani is supposed to have balanced spices and good aroma, but this dish had only chili and heat, no proper taste. It felt like there was no care taken in cooking or following customer instructions. When someone says they don’t want spicy food, that should be respected.
Overall, this was a very bad experience. Poor quality food, burnt chicken, and no attention to customer preference. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this place if you care about good biryani.

The Mushroom Pepper fry that they serve is my the most favorite Indian appetizer. I’ve had the same dish every-time I visit Persis. We had apolo fish and daal makhani too and it tasted good. They serve authentic south Indian specialities which are worth trying. Ambience is decent and one can definitely have a good family time here. Customer service was friendly and the best part was the instrumental Bollywood music in background which creates a cozy comforting feeling.

I was misled by Google maps to Persis Biryani Grill when I went in search of Rasa Haveli. We decided to give it a try even though the menu was mostly non vegetarian and our palate of choice being vegetarian. The hostess was extremely nice and took excellent care with suggestions and service. I dinged half a star for the ambience which was dark without enough light, but compensated with nice art. The Navaratna korma we ordered was good, but I would call it Dasratna korma as the chef had included excess oil as an additional ingredient of choice. The pulav was out of the world along with the raita while the garlic naan was definitely yummy coming fresh off the tandoor. I intend to go back again to try the biryani.

The food is delicious and the aroma of the food is amazing! It’s probably the most authentic Indian restaurant in the area. All the staff are friendly and really make you feel at home. Love the Bollywood Music Videos they play on TV too. It makes me feel I am in India. Highly recommend you go if you haven’t yet. You will fall in-love.

This weekend we ordered food for ~80 people. We were all very happy with qualify, quantity and taste.
We ordered standard Appetizers, Entree, and Deserts. Price was very comparative, staff went out of their way to make sure we have everything needed for the party. They had food ready when we arrived, loaded in car and gave us everything from serving utensils, hot box to stands and burners.
Quality of food was perfect, no complains. Almost everyone asked about the place and they were all impressed with it.
Some restaurant reduce quantity to lower prices. They did none of that, everyone had enough food and we also had some left overs at the end.
Overall it was great, we will be going back over and over. Worth going and giving them a try.

We had a buffet last Saturday at Persis and am very impressed by the quality and the variety of the food, and the good service. There are chicken, fish (a typical one and salmon) and goat served on one buffet – that’s rarely been seen before, and best of all, they are all delicious. They also have fresh fruit (water melon, etc) and masala/chai tea with perfect sweetness. We love Indian food and have tried almost all the Indian restaurants nearby, and this one certainly stood out. We are happy that they are close by and certainly will go there again soon. Strongly recommended.

Environment was awesome….. and overall food was very good and tasty. This has become my favorite restaurant in Ashburn! It’s the best tasting Indian food/Indo-Chinese dishes I’ve found in the area, coupled with wonderful service by the entire restaurant staff. Both their weekend lunch buffet and sit down menu are great! I’ve also ordered catering from Persis and was very pleased that the entire party I fed loved the food as well.
