It seems they’ve changed their biryani recipes, and they are now awesome. While the boneless biryani could still use some work, their Majestic dish is a definite must-try.

I have been here multiple times for the biryani and can vouch for the taste and authenticity. The fry chicken biryani as well as the boneless chicken biryani are very flavorful and the quantity is perfect for 2 people. I have tried a couple of the curries,chicken chettinad and mughlai and they are also quite good. One of my favorite biryani places in NJ!

What they called “lamb Mandi” was basmati rice topped with mixed mutton and chicken gravy — no smoke, no authenticity.
For $27 a quarter, I expected something remotely close to real Yemeni Mandi like you’d find in Paterson, NJ. Instead, it was bland and confused — more like a buffet remix than a traditional dish.
If they ever try the real thing, they’ll understand just how far off this was.

We were coming from an event and most of the restaurants were closed by 10. I found this on Google, and if I remember correctly, someone in my Yelp list- suggested this too. Great, let’s try this.
Unfortunately, we reached around 1045 PM and it was almost closing time, and upon entering, the owner said- sir we have only veg, chicken & Mutton dum biryani, nothing else.
Fine, anyway we were here only for biryanis, but a couple of appetizers could not have harmed.
Nevertheless, we ordered these 3 types of biryanis-
Quick service (no one was there except us), got the biryanis. It was good, except it was not warm enough, and through the meal, it almost got cold, and that ruined the whole experience. but my friends did enjoy their chicken ones. comes with raita and Mirchi Salan.
Even though I would like to return as I can sense, they do know how to make biryanis and I love BIRYANI.

First – let me tell you, if you asked me yesterday, Which was the BEST Biryani in Oak Tree, I would have told you, Persis Oak Tree. But to my shock this is what I got today for lunch. 3 issues here.
1st issue, the Goat pieces were very bad, not like how you used to give. Hardly any edible piece.
2nd issue, if you look at the rice, it was lumpy not like biryani texture – IT IS Leftover Rice not cooked freshly today.
3rd issue is scary. It looks like there is 2 different rice variety there. The one within the Circle is Persis Biryani, but the one outside the circle doesn’t look Persis Biryani. It looks like someone bought opposite shop biryani, didn’t like the taste and dumped it in my biryani. I ordered Medium Spicy Mutton. You can tell its not Medium Spicy !!!! Very Disappointed !

This is my only favorite place for biryani.
Freshest most authentic and best tasting dum biryani ever in entire NJ!
I have been to several places in NJ, no other biryani can match its authentic flavor and quality!
But the reason for 4 stars is because type of chicken pieces has changed. I have given the feedback about chicken pieces to the owner once when I was dining in. I have told manager the same thing.
Seems like you are now cutting corners. Please don’t do this. Don’t ruin it for me or any other Bone-in chicken biryani lover. Don’t ruin it for yourself if customer satisfaction matters to you.
Once again, this used to be undoubtedly the best biryani one could get in NJ. But not anymore just because you have changed the type of pieces to mediocre, small, less meat more bony ones. No other biryani could come close to its taste, it’s authenticity and the quality!
It still brings me right to home!
Because of the taste and authenticity.
But please change back or improve the type of chicken pieces to more traditionally premium pieces like, breast, thigh and drumstick.
Instead of the ones you put In now.
It’s like the leftover pieces. The unwanted pieces.

Found this gem while shopping for our wedding clothes in Edison. Must try. We have eaten most of our meals here while visiting from out of town. Great authentic Indian food. Get the chicken 65 it is incredible! Also if you like goat, the goat nawabi curry was a prefect balance of flavors. Wish we lived closer would eat here all the time!

Had dinner for first time. It was very yummy delecious.Goat biryani and dry pepper chicken.chettinad chicken comes with rice. Every item was perfect. Medium to spicy . Had flavor and taste. Recommend this place of you want to have authentic taste of Hydrabadi touch. Service was good. Restroom were clean. Seating was very comfortable. Hygienically they have maintained excellent. Cutlery was shining clean. Had wonderful experience and enjoyed every bit of bite.

Great food experience at Persis Biryani. We visited there late around the closing time. Still, the server K.vin took great care of the group. Paneer biryani, goat biryani, chicken tikka – every item was very tasty and authentic.
