Food was delicious, the portions were very generous. The atmosphere was cozy and the owner was kind and attentive. The service was a bit slow because the owner was running the entire Front of House by himself, but he was working incredibly hard to do so. Kudos to him for his hard work and dedication, it is impressive how well things were running being short of staff. We didn’t mind waiting a bit longer than usual because the food was great and the owner was a wonderful host.

This was our first time in and the food is amazing!!!! We took the suggestions from the owner. He recommended the most amazing appetizer of cheese that he lit on FIRE!! His pride in the food makes the experience even better he made sure everything was hot and so very tasty!!! I highly recommend that if you haven’t stopped in you absolutely should!!! We will be back whenever we are in Savannah!

A hidden wonderful place in the center of Downtown. Ali, the owner, who has been running this business for 24 years, will meet and take care of you. It is an atmosphere place, not for the fast eat and drink. Come here if you are a gourmet of a traditional operated restaurant and fresh qualified food.

We just had dinner tonight. It was awesome.
I ordered Chief Chicken and beef Kabob with Shirin polo. The chicken breast was soft. juicy and melt in your mouth and beef was medium rear with perfect texture and taste. Any we go we try Persian food and This one gets the HIGHEST SCORE. My wife had Adas Polo with Grill Vegetable and our daughter had Chicken Kabob and they were very pleased with quality and freshness of the food and it was well prepared. We had Calamari that was very good and crispy.
Orange juice was very Authentic. Turkish Coffee I had was the Best I ever had. I am serious on Persian food, Tea and Coffee.
My Special thank to Chief/ Owner for his Authentic Persian Food!!!!

Phenomenal mediterranean food! The hummus was especially delicious (not pictured but others in the review comments have photos). Owner was kind and entertaining despite being busy and serving large parties. I suggest reserving a table or arriving after the peak dinner time for the best dinner experience.

My husband and I had a date night and decided to stay at a hotel downtown. This way we can walk everywhere and enjoy our beautiful hometown of Savannah.

As we were walking we passed by this restaurant and oh my goodness! The smell from the kitchen hit our nostrils so hard….it was truly hypnotic. We stopped to read the outside and menu and learned that this is a Mediterranean restaurant. We were a bit skeptical but the aroma from the food was convincing enough.

We ordered water and sweet tea. That tea was down south sweet…lol…loved it! For our entrée we ordered the platter (forgot the name) but you get a TON of food. It can easily feed 4 adults. We had lamb, chicken, and filet mignon. The rice alone was so buttery and delicious!

Obviously we had leftovers, and when I tell you…I ate off my leftovers for two days!! The only thing I wish is that they offered mixed drinks. They do have wine and beer, but I’m not a fan of either. You also have the option of hooka.

This is a small quaint place with music, fun customers, and amazing food. It’s definitely worth a try!

Travellers, this is the place to get an elegant meal in downtown savannah ga. Specializing in greek food, everything is lovely. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. We really enjoyed our meal. The greek salad and lemon chicken soup was excellent. The soup was lemony and had fresh dill and was an excellent accompaniment for the remainder of the meal. The Persepolis combo was fantastic, you get to choose four of eight choices and all were delicious especially the hummus and the tzadziki. So refreshing. The moussaka was done perfectly, just like yiayia used to make. This brought me right back to my childhood. And the rice was perfectly cooked, you could see each individual grain of rice. It was cooked with saffron so it was extra yummy. Our service was fantastic and with a smile. We enjoyed this meal and will definitely be back. Check it out. We recommend.

Absolutely must try Persian restaurant if you’re in the area. The ambiance and decor are beautiful. The owner and the cook are splendid, wonderful people that made us feel so at home and welcome.

We had a special of two lamb of rack, lamb koobideh kabob and chicken koobideh kabob with a side of vegetables and fragrant, fluffy rice. The tenderness of the meats were BUTTER – especially the lamb chops. The flavor was good, nothing comes spicy, mild flavor only.

If I ever visit Savannah again, I will come back to this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Savannah for a week and noticed Persian food on the menu and had to try it (I am Persian). The food was seriously the best meal I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend the Mirsa Ghasemi, the lamb chops, the Shirin polo (sweet rice), and the chicken kabob. So juicy, well-seasoned, and delicious. The owner is very kind and hospitable and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Wish I could have gone a second time to try some baklava!!

Okay….so this is a 5 star hidden amongst the downtown tourist restaurants! Ali, the owner, believes in a dining experience, so don’t go here if you want fast food. Go here if you want great food! A small, cozy, and unassuming restaurant, you’ve likely walked by in one of the busiest spots on Whitaker Street.
We started with a four plate sampler of dolmeh, hummus, babaganesh, spanakopitakia, served with pita bread, freaking amazing! Our friend who had never had most of these dishes loved them. Spiced just right with savory favors but made fresh with a hint of lemon.
I had the amazing chicken kabob. Ali told me he marinated the chicken in milk and spices. It melted in my mouth. The rice is its own special treat, made with honey, almonds, and saffron. It was a second star of my dish. We also loved the Moussaka, Pastitsio, and the Chiken Koobideh kabob. I tried my friends order of the chicken Koobideh kabobs and liked my chicken kabobs better. Marinated as opposed to ground, but just my preference.
We paired it all with a Greek white wine and finished with a Turkish coffee.
It was a great dining experience I would put against the much higher priced, high-end hotel restaurants of Savannah. Would I go back?!? See you next week, Ali!!
