Perry’s on the Union has a pretty solid Irish pub vibe ,relaxed, lively, and a good place to hang out in SF. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight. The food was decent. I didn’t absolutely love it, but I didn’t dislike it either. What stood out was how fresh everything tasted ,the ingredients were clearly high quality. Overall, a good spot for the ambiance and a casual meal.

What a great find on out short trip to San Francisco this weekend. I had the pot roast as it is an institution in of itself and it was delicious. The mashed potatoes were amazing. Hubby had steak sandwich with ceasar salad. He really enjoyed his sandwich and salad was on point. Service was excellent and food came in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

Saturday night at Perry’s on Union Street is almost a San Francisco tradition going back decades. I hadn’t been there in a while and a friend wanted to have dinner there and I happily agreed. I was pleased to see they still make their onion soup so I ordered that along with the steak salad. My friend had the ribs and we shared a bottle of Cabernet that I brought with me. all the food was fine and the service was pretty good considering how busy they were.

Marcos, awesome bartender. Made our experience so good. We’ve been at Dreamforce and very unwelcoming environment. Here was 20 minutes away.

So welcoming and quiet. Exactly what we needed.

Thank you Marcos, good food & drinks at Perry’s. I had Cadillac margarita

So I’ve learned that Perry’s is an institution. People have been coming here for years and it dates back a good ways. While we were there, it was fully packed to the hilt with people having a great time. Julia, our server was amazing, as was the food. I had the Reuben, my friends had the ribs, clam chowder, salads, and Burger. All of it amazing. Tasty drinks from the bar combined with great food and great friends and it makes for a wonderful place!

We stopped into Perry’s for lunch while we were in the area looking at properties. It felt like a convenient place to take a break and grab a bite in between appointments.

The spot itself has a cool, casual vibe and definitely feels like a neighborhood staple. The surrounding area is really nice, and the location adds to the overall experience of being there.

The food was okay nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. It was solid for lunch, just not something I’d go out of my way to come back for.

Overall, Perry’s is a decent option if you’re nearby and need a reliable place to eat. The atmosphere and neighborhood were the highlights, while the food was more average, making it a fair but not standout experience.

Perry’s on Union Street is a go-to that never fails. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back weekday dinner, a meal while catching a sports game, or a classic steak on a Saturday night, Perry’s delivers every time.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a touch of that unique San Francisco charm. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, making you feel right at home. Their menu offers a great mix of comfort food and elevated classics, so there’s something for every mood or occasion.

What really sets Perry’s apart is its versatility—it’s casual enough for an impromptu night out but polished enough to make any evening feel special. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to visit again and again.

Went to lunch before a Giants game. The ribs were very good and did not disappoint. The burger was also good. I tried the Bloody Mary but it wasn’t very good. I did ask that it would not be spicy.
