Stopped in for breakfast, July 4th, they had a small number of staff that came in. On a holiday they came in, our waitress was hostesses and bussed tables, Kayla H!! Thank you for the amazing work and service. Food was great too!
Place was clean and staffed worked very hard to accommodate all.

Left without eating. We were the only people there at 6:25pm on a Saturday (3/7/26). Waited 5 minutes for drink orders (which wasn’t a problem) and we asked to order food at the same time since we were ready. To which we were told, “I’ll get your drink orders and come back, because that’s how we do it here”. The waitress’s attitude told the entire story behind why this place was dead. We promptly left without ordering, went to Culver’s which, unsurprisingly, had a full parking lot and better service. Recommend you keep driving.

I love being able to visit any Perkin’s I come across while traveling and that I can be confident that the food and service will be good.

Stopped in for breakfast today and was not disappointed. The food was good, and the service was great! Kayla was our server and she was attentive and friendly. It was nice to start the day with a great meal and a smile!

This is probably one of the most convenient places to eat. It’s not only affordable, but also serves a great variety of dishes. They were short of help today. There were two parties waiting to be sit when we got there, but we still got sit quick. Our order was taken quickly and the meal came to our table in about 10 minutes. My husband ordered a hamburger and I ordered salmon. My entree had a choice of 2 side dishes. I asked for a garden salad and green beans with bacon. The hamburger was delicious and the salmon, too. The waitress and everyone who was there today were very kind, polite, and efficient. It was about $20 each with coffee to go.

We used to live near Milwaukee, and ate at Perkins. It became so bad, we vowed to never eat at one again. That was 30 some years ago.( They closed about 20 years ago ). We recently needed a breakfast place, and this store was available. We were very surprised how edible it was. It was beyond out exceptions. We went back tonight, we were again amazed . Clean, efficient, and impressive flavors. I personally don’t eat at chain restaurants, but the black River falls restaurant is almost like a family run business. The taste is homemade. Thank you for your effort .

So it’s my first time at a Perkins and it was ok, just not wow. I did enjoy the Strawberry Cream cheese Crispers, the fried wrap had a great texture and the filling was very nice. The sirloin was cooked perfectly per my medium rare request and it was surprisingly tender. I liked the garlic butter on top but other than that it lacked seasoning. Just a little salt and pepper would’ve gone a long way in making it amazing. The potato decent but may have been over cooked. Just seemed dry. And for a baking restaurant I was really looking forward to the muffin but it was the worst disappointment of the meal. Super dry, and didn’t have much flavor. After a couple of bites I just threw it away. I would classify this place as just average chain food. Over priced as well, my potato was bigger than my steak, it just swallowed it up on the plate. It was 6 good bites at best. All steak choices were sirloin. Seems like a ribeye on the menu would’ve been a good choice. Also seems more like a breakfast joint than a dinner spot. Last but not least I had a strawberry milkshake that just didn’t hit the mark. On a bright side they were short staffed and was busy but the one waitress they had found her way to me quickly and the food came out fast. Service was very good. I have to give them credit, they were wise in picking this nice lady. I wish I remembered her name to give her credit.

Diner breakfast occupies a special place in my heart, and when the only location in Denver closed before I had the chance of trying it, I was devastated. However, while traveling for work this week, I stayed at a hotel next to a location, and was blessed with the chance once more. It was everything I had dreamed of. I was one of the only patrons this morning, as if the restaurant was all for me. The service was nothing short of what you’d expect from that friendly and inviting Midwest charm, while the vibe was warm and welcoming. I had the Triple Egg Dare Ya, which was delicious, and Cody in the kitchen made sure that my over easy eggs (a most challenging style of egg) was cooked to perfection – send my compliments to the chef, don’t ya know. The portions were more for even me, a budding competition eater. Would visit again.

Not the employees faults but they are short staffed and the wait is really long, even for groups smaller than ours, which was 10. One waitress was having a bad day, the other was friendly. Things took a bit longer than normal, but the food was good and reasonably priced
