My family and I (my service dog Tank he is an American bully ) went to eat out at Perkins and the manager ( Casserly )commented that she “wanted us and that THING as far away from people as possible.” We didn’t think it was about us, but right before we were seated, she told the hostess that if she needed to triple-seat else wherever to keep people away, that was fine. We are in the corner with no one around. Our sever was great the food was ok.

Breakfast was fabulous! Our server was super friendly and great at her job. The pancakes and bacon were some of the best I’ve had in a long time- I loved my chocolate chip pancakes. Perkins is always a solid breakfast option and I think they deserve a higher rating at this location. They have a 55 and over menu too for the boomers out there

In August 2025, we visited the Perkins Restaurant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Perkins is a family-friendly restaurant, and the food tasted delicious after visiting the Amana Colonies. There are promotional meals on the menu that we enjoyed eating at favorable prices. Our trip to the Amana Colonies was great, and eating delicious Perkins food afterwards made our trip even better.

Our server Rachael was wonderful, she was very polite, and attentive. The food was excellent. The wait time was non existent, it was savory, and the muffins were soft and sweet. Will come back for our outstanding server !

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE 20/10❗️Went twice in one day.
1st time- the restaurant was a little busy but that didn’t stop the staff from being friendly and acknowledging us when we entered. My sister and I told the gentleman that we we wanted to place a carry out order. He advised the wait would be 45mins, wasn’t a big deal. Our food came out within 20-25 mins☺️ EVERYTHING was fresh, hot and yummy. My fried chicken hibachi- broccoli was perfectly cooked and the garlic rice-loved it!
I went back around 1ish am with my crew. Brandi was our waitress. She made us feel welcomed as if we’d been coming there for years- laughed and joked with us all while providing stellar customer service. We never had to ask for refills, my coffee was freshly made, and she handled our group of 8 with ease. The cook came out and checked to see if his meals met our standards, thanked us for coming, and wished us safe travels back to KY.
They deserve a raise. So happy I could write a review on pure amazing customer service. Made our Cedar Rapids experience something to talk about. Keep up the great work, many kisses to their cooks♥️

On a road trip from Wisconsin with our 2 year old daughter. Stopped here to grab breakfast and was blown away with the service! Food came very quick and our server Sandra and staff went out of their way to have Santa deliver an early Christmas present for our daughter. Breakfast was good. Our daughter was in love with every staff member and even wanted a picture with Sandra. Would recommend and would come back!

Luis is the best server! I went down to Perkins tonight with my partner and he was amazing, as he always is. Luis communicates very well and really brings the atmosphere together. The food was amazing as well, I’ve ordered some breakfast items tonight and a sandwich last time. I really hope that he is treated well on the Perkins team, he made the experience a lot better than any other server there would have and is clearly a valuable asset to the company.
