I went again. This place still rocks. Autumn was my server. This young lady is brilliant. Not only is she smart about the menu and the things you’d expect a server to be smart about, she’s smart at handling people. She made a slow moving guest feel alright for being steps behind. She perfectly put a table at ease for not being ready to order. She made suggestions to a guy at the table next to me that we suited to him. All this while being fast and efficient.
I had the Country Chicken Biscuits. Delicious.

Perkins in Clearwater is always a great stop! The food comes out hot, fresh, and exactly how you want it every time. The service is friendly, welcoming, and they really make you feel at home. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the menu has something for everyone, and the portions are generous. The pies and bakery items are a must-try! Always a comfortable spot with great value—highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Went here for lunch. Got the special Burger, Fries, Drink and Slice of pie. It was excellent! The burger was juicy, tasty and hot. Fries were very good. Got our pies to go and they were pretty good. Highly recommended if you want a quick, reliable lunch. Service was very good too.

This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. My legs do t work. But the rest of me is fine. I’ve used a motorized wheelchair for the last 11 years.
I’d like to say this is my 1st negative experience at a restaurant but it wouldn’t be true.
This morning I went into Perkins gulf to bay by myself for Breakfast. Im traveling and needed a good hearty meal.
The waitress took me around a corner to seat me. At first I thought it was because they were busy and opening another section.
WRONG! There were plenty of place to seat me. I was intentionally seated away from other customers. In a small section segregated from the rest of the dinners.
It happens to be right next to the order oick up area on one side and the dishwasher staff on the other. So instead of a nice meal in a calm atmosphere I listen to a symphony of staff members yelling about orders and dishes being dumped loudly. It is not pleasent.
I dont know what the restaurant staff thinks, or is it a policy, to hide the people in wheelchairs from the rest of the guests?
Do they think Im going to drop food everywhere, chew with my mouth open or drool and upset other people?
That is very prejudicial! I probably have better table manners than most of your staff! Who were rude.
I didnt say anything until I was leaving. I was on a call and didn’t notice the noise at first. By the time I did the food was being delivered so I ate quickly and left!
I’ve noticed this attitude at mostly chain restaurants as I travel independently around the world! I happen to have about 2 million followers. Some are disabled in wheelchairs, some are family members of people in wheelchairs and others just caring people who find my independence inspiring or some such thing.
The point is I will share this review with all of them.
It is never acceptable to hide a disabled person from others. It is embarrassing, humiliating and uncalled for. I came into the restaurant on my own steam, was able to ask for a table for 1 and order my food. JUST LIKE EVEYONE ELSE!
Why should I then be treated differently?
This will go global.

The server was great. She made a wonderful kale salad that was perfect. The ribs though were lacking. Lowest quality ribs I ever had anywhere as they seemed to be like a huge bone-in McRib. A nice look, but disappointing taste. Overall though. The experience was nice due to the great service. So it’s an okay place. Skip the ribs and go for breakfast as they do make a great breakfast.

We had breakfast here today. We had omelet with French toast and build your own breakfast, two eggs, sausage links, hash browns, biscuits with gravy. To drink, coffee and orange juice.

We have been coming to this location on US 19 for years and the service is excellent! They are like family and always with a smile. The food is great for family gatherings and afternoon coffee and dessert a wide range of choices for everyone. We look forward to their holiday seasonal items . From Chris to Bambi, Ashley, Peter and Gloria staff is the kindest and most helpful. The managers are fun and make the place a must go every weekend!! Stop by and experience it yourself we are loyal customers to this location.
