I have not seen a Perkins location that is as busy and great as this one. It’s clearly a local favorite. There’s commonly a wait in the morning on weekends, but it usually moves pretty quickly. The staff is friendly and professional, and the service has always been attentive and fast in my experience. I ordered chipped beef and scrapple off the menu, which I’m told is only offered in the tri-state area, and it was excellent.

Your review asked about atmosphere, it’s definitely dated . Booth seats are very uncomfortable.

Dave, the manager, greeted me as soon as I entered the door, seated me, and promptly my waitress Mariko was friendly and attentive. The food was well prepared and excellent. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual, and the customers were multi-cultural. Good decent people. It’s my favorite place to dine!

Brunch was excellent! No waiting, my friend and I were able to have conversation, the food came faster than I expected and was delicious! Danielle was friendly, efficient and eager to help. She checked on us often and got us whatever we needed in a timely manner. I will definitely be going back to Perkins, sooner rather than later!

Perkins is a good place to visit for brunch…when you want that in between breakfast and lunch. Wide selection to choose from on the menu and our food was good. Our server was on point with keeping our drinks filled and being attentive. Definitely worth the visit!

I don’t leave reviews…BUT went to Perkins in Newark off of Kirkwood tonight and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they are bringing the country club melt back on the menu!!! And BONUS*** my server Bethany (amazing btw) and manager Micheal (also amazing;) had the country club melt made for me! And it. Was. So. Good. Kudos to the chef

We were there at 4 p.m. Monday Night …….
Went there last evening for the Monday Night Meatloaf Special for 8.99 with 2 veggies !
Meatloaf was tasty and very flavourful but the actual consistency of the meat was mushy !
We got 2 Blueberry Muffins from their Bakery……..terrible…….super dry ! Dunkin Donuts has them beat on the Bakery Item…!!!!!! Not to mention the 2 Blueberry Muffins that I brought home uhhhhh ! Ended up being close to $8.00 ukkkkkkk !
Oh, the Floor all under my table was filthy dirty with food and stuff right in plain sight.
One disappointed Customer !
