This location has a “now hiring” sign on the door. The wait staff were over stretched. Once the food order was taken, our meals arrived quickly. As Perkins restaurants go, this locations food is really good. Portions are nice. The softdrinks are bottomless. They serve Coke products at this location. Getting on and off of highway 15 is easy as there is a traffic light at entrance to this location.

This was a meeting spot for an emergency road trip. I ran in to get a coffee and some baked goods (to go). Everyone was very nice and they could tell I needed a smile. The waitress at the counter brought a handful of sugar and cream so I could prepare my coffee and gave me extra for the road. She brightened my day. Muffin and cinnamon roll were enjoyed. Coffee was much better than my 1st attempt at the gas station!

Perkins is mediocre at best. Their prices don’t make sense. How can one Belgian waffle, 2 scrambled eggs and 2 strips of bacon cost $5 more than a cheeseburger, fries and pie? My food was cold because my order was wrong. The waffle was missing the requested strawberries. Instead of making new food the waiter took the food back and someone scraped off the butter and added the strawberries (I didn’t see any actual strawberries it was a sauce.) All the food got cold and didn’t really taste good. I should have sent my plate back. I don’t really know why I didn’t. Bottom line is this…go somewhere else to eat. You’ll get better tasting food and bigger portions for the price.

One concern.. not related to our server … We noticed a tray of plated meals with some hanging over and a large group being led by to a nearby table all touching the food on the plates before being served. Rather gross. Need to be more aware and lead parties down isle without large tray with food

Wish I could give it zero. The waiter was friendly but that was the only decent part of the visit.
I ordered the Triple Egg Dare Ya, and my partner ordered the Fried Steak and Eggs. Our food came out in about 15 minutes, but I was still missing my French toast, pancakes, and the extra toast I ordered, waiter didn’t make sure we had everything, and another 10 minutes went by until I was able to ask for the remainder of my food. At this point the manager came out and apologized, but only took 30% off of our check. They were NOT that busy and had multiple waiters.
My partner ate his 3 pancakes and maybe 1/3 of the steak, and said it was cold in the center and the gravy was like jello.
I told the manager that I really didn’t want my food at all at that point. The eggs had gone cold and I had ONLY eaten the hash browns.
The customer service is disgraceful. I apologized for complaining in the first place to the manager but now I’m very angry that we weren’t really taken care of. Leaving still paying $30 for food we didn’t eat is unacceptable. Photos included of what we left there, after regretfully paying the bill.
Edit: we would have been MORE than willing to pay for his meal, maybe a side of hash browns because I ate mine, and the drinks. We should not have been charged when I did not get to enjoy my meal, and after telling the manager that I did not want it, and did not want boxes to take anything home. They gladly just took our money.
I drove away starving and parked elsewhere to cry about it because I felt guilty that my partner had paid for me for nothing; and to figure out what else I wanted to eat. Went to weis, got some pierogies, and it was much better than this place. Mrs. T’s never disappoints. Went way downhill since moving from their old location by Days Inn. I had been here a few years ago with my parents and the sausage and other items came out cold, and you could hear the cook slamming things around in the back of house. I should have known.
I’m also seeing that on a lot of the negative reviews here, these poor people are only getting a “sorry, hope to see you again in the future” or “we’ll figure it out on our end” instead of a proper solution and this really shows where their mind is at about customers. Please don’t go here on the off chance you have an experience like ours.
The Selinsgrove location is WAY better, I’ve never had an issue.

This is basically like your Denny’s or IHOP. The food was good, as well as the service. It’s was pretty quiet for Sunday, so we were taken care pretty quickly. And you definitely can’t beat their prices

I ordered a French choc silk pie for my husband for Valentine’s Day I went to pick it up they didn’t have it made had to give me the one out of the case. When my husband ate the pie that same evening the inside was terrible . We won’t be getting any more desserts there.

Always a pleasure coming to Perkins when I come to central PA. Pleasant staff and delicious food. Their bakery is to die for. But I had to control my urges and NOT order any of those delicious baked goods. Breakfast was marvelous. There French toast was delicious, the pancakes were amazing. The only issue was that the omelets were underwhelming. I felt like they could have fattened it up a bit more inside the omlete and maybe cooked the bacon more crispier. But breakfast still was delicious and staff was great

Normally the service is very good but today was a disappointment. We were seated at 10:54 and I know this because my friend said she would like to order the lunch duo and that starts at 11. So we figured til they took our drink order it would be 11 and we would be good. At 12:20 I made the call to leave because we had still not been greeted. 2 other tables has been seated, received drinks, and had their orders taken in the meantime.
