The burgers were so fresh and delicious. The meat has really good flavor and the buns are nicely toasted. Condiments and veggies are off to the side for you to put them on yourself – which is perfect! The veggies were nice and cold, and super fresh as well.
The fries that came with the burgers had a great potato taste to them. They were sturdy and and not soggy/greasy.
The photos I included are of the SECOND burger I ordered. Maybe a bit gluttonous, however I tend to ensure my tastebuds aren’t deceiving me lol (it was just so good).
From what we could tell, there was only one employee at the time we went doing all of the cooking and serving. Despite that, all of the tables were taken care of attentively with refills for drinks, little wait time for the food, and quick payment. I can’t stand when you have to wait ages on the check. It feels like a hostage situation.
Anyways, the burgers are great and we will be returning to try more!
I will come back and try the peri peri chicken that also looks good. Nice to support local businesses that aren’t owned by some big corporation.
We’d definitely come back!
Instead I got some chopped marinated in something described as “flavorless”chicken with barely any meat. With some ordinary onion rings.
Uncle Tony had some good tasting Angus burgers too. And anything you ordered came with the toppings on the side. Loved that from Uncle Tony.
Is Uncle Tony’s relocated. Not going back to peri peri, but I want more uncle Tony’s.
It was only about 10 minutes before we saw an employee, a gentleman came out, went to the table with the couple, didn’t even look at us and we are at the table next to them, talked to them for a minute, turned around and returned to the kitchen, not a word, i mentioned to my girlfriend how this was apparently how the reviews said the restaurant works. The lady at the table mentioned it was her brother, i said it’s just what the reviews say about the service.
Not to long after, the waitress came and took our order, she was very nice and very attentive, kept an eye on us, topped off our drinks and brought out the food when it was ready and hot. However, the gentlemen that came out was a cook apparently and from our short experience with him, he is not a people person, and i watched him through the serving window just goofing off and talking, there was a second cook in the kitchen it looked like, probably the cook preparing our food because he clearly is neither a people person nor a cook that cares.
For the food, the appetizers were great, we had onion rings and fried mushrooms, at least those were not overcooked, the burgers on the other hand, burnt, the bacon on my girlfriend’s burger was charcoal black and mine was short of that, both burgers were also overcooked and the meat dry. The season fries my girlfriend had been also overcooked and regular fries were just shy of burned but still to dry and hard to really eat.
I can only give this review a 2 star because we had great service from our waitress, and the appetizers were good.
Don’t come here if you’re looking for a decent burger, go elsewhere.
