We had the tamales and they were so perfect but they had run out so we couldn’t order for Christmas, next year I’m going to order them a month ahead of time because they were perfect for my tastes with good amounts of beef in them and the green is my absolute favorite now.

I have all of these southside Mexican restaurants bookmarked because I am a self-proclaimed Chilaquiles Aficionado. I am on the hunt for the best authentic Mexican breakfast in town and Perfecto’s is where we landed this past weekend. Let me start by saying, the place literally right down the block that has great ratings (and more reviews), was nowhere near as good as Perfecto’s.
This place is located in a strip mall, but it is not hard to find. We landed here at about 9 in the morning and the place was pretty busy. It is small — I think there were 12-14 – 4 seater tables. It was very clean inside and the two gals that were working were very welcoming and friendly. You get a little bowl of salsa and fresh (yes fresh, unlike the ones we had last weekend at the other place) while you wait to order/for your food.
I ordered… you guessed it… Chilaquiles! My Hubs ordered the Huevos Rancheros and a bowl of the red Menudo. My Chilaquiles were great, and I am finding everyone seems to do them differently so I am trying not to be too judgy outside of taste. These had the cheese melted in them (vs. on top) and were really good. I grilled the Hubs on his food because I told him I was “yelping this stuff”. He said the Menudo was pretty good (comes with the traditional toasted bread, cilantro and onions) and tasty. He would not go beyond that — he is Hispanic and I believe he rates all Menudo against that of one of his sisters who makes it with tons of red chile which he loves and compares everyone elses to. That said a “pretty good” is saying a lot. Now, he was not as impressed with the Huevos Rancheros. He described them as not having enough sauce and the tortillas should have been soft and not tostada shells. I did think they looked a little different than what I thought they normally looked like but maybe it is like Chilaquiles and everyone does them a little different?
Bottom line, service was super attentive and great… this place is a little neighborhood jewel which is evident by the steady stream of regulars coming in. The food was tasty as well, I would totally return for the Chilaquiles.

Chicken Enchiladas were delicious! I really appreciate waitress and her patience with my uncle lol. Give them a try and if we ask enough times maybe we can see some
Verdes! Much love! 9/10

All great things! I forgot to take the pic before I jumped in! The portions are out of this world for the price you pay! If you want real authentic SONORENSE food this is the place. The food is consistently amazing. This restaurant also has “REAL” horchata, none of that powder “horchata” from other places. It’s cozy and service is always great. Bring your appetite!

Perfecto!!! I had a Carne Asada Torta here and it was absolutely delicious. Just thinking about it again makes me hungry. Pricing is reasonable, and the quality of food is exceptional. Highly recommend!

Very good! Affordable! Awesome selection. They offer lunch and dinner specials. Service at times can vary but the staff are friendly and frequently on top of their game! The manager you can find easily and he is very professional! No real complaints! Its great and if you are in a rush they can get you in and out. We prefer to be casual though and spend time enjoying our food! They have great salsa and chips! Yum! Go NOW!

We stopped by for lunch after some long hikes in the park and found some wonderful food. The corn tamale was awesome, with a hint of honey sweetness and moist beyond belief. Rice and beans were very tasty and the service was wonderful. Would highly suggest a stop there. GPS does make it hard to find but just stay on 12th and you will find it!

First time eating here was amazing. The birria was great and red Chile tambien. Fresh tortillas. Rice and beans were salted to perfection! Will definitely go back when it’s not busy.

Went in hearing great things about the Tacos and sad to say was very dissapointed. Not only was the service slow, the meet was very dry and served to me cold. The other plate we ordered was amazing though, the Steak fajitas were probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Near perfect seasoning, served hot and cooked so well.
