Before COVID, all I would order was the green chili mac and cheese and never explored the rest of the menu. I regretted that I waited so long for not trying out the quinoa bowl!! I added falafel to mine and my friend added chicken to hers. YUMMY x 100000!
Another dish I tried this time: The hummus nachos! I would highly recommend it! It huge and needs 4 people to finish! My friend and I both had leftover to take home.
Last but not least, they are pet-friendly! My friend brought our puppy and we sat at the patio for the meal. The only slight discomfort from sitting outdoors was the mosquitoes. I got bit 4 times. Next time I’ll remember to bring repellent.
They offer great gluten-free options, making it easy to eat well without sacrificing taste. Clean ingredients, solid portions, and a feel-good vibe every time.
For our mains, my husband ordered the French Pantry sandwich, and I ordered the 1/2 soup 1/2 pasta. My soup selection was the chicken noodle, and my pasta was the Toni’s perfect pasta. It tasted great and had the right amount of sauce to noodle that i personally liked, and the serving size was just right. The only thing I didn’t really enjoy was the soup. It tasted like the can of progressive chicken noodle soup. I mean, I like Progressive, but it’s not something I want from a restaurant.
Lastly, the service was great. Our server was attentive and made sure to check on us to make sure we didn’t need a refill or anything.
I would definitely come back again.
Sometimes I just shake my head… Writing a review honestly, without being influenced by previous ratings, is a matter of integrity. Reflecting on experiences is key because, after all, it’s those fond memories we treasure most — the ones we keep talking about and hold dear. Unfortunately, we also remember the details of mediocre and poor experiences.
At Perfect Pear Bistro, the service was pleasant but not efficient. At times, I noticed there wasn’t a single staff member on the floor for an extended period. I ordered the falafel taco, which was extremely dry. My wife had the French Pantry chicken sandwich, which she felt had value due to the generous amount of chicken, but the quality was lacking.
The place seems popular, though I’m not sure why — perhaps there just aren’t many options in the area. We sat inside, and at first glance, it didn’t seem very clean. While waiting for our food, I glanced up at the ceiling fan, which was caked with dust and grime.
It’s unfortunate that our expectations were not met. Cleanliness is everything when it comes to a food establishment, and sadly, this experience fell well below our standards.
I spent more time there than one probably would for a solo lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. If I ever find myself in the area, I’ll def be going back to try more things!
