We went for the first time and did the special Date Night Dinner for two. Beef tenderloin and lobster tails. It was wonderful. We sat inside but still had a great view of the Gulf and the sunset. Wait staff was so nice.

Must order the filet medium rare add scallops, they were the stand out. Horseradish cream on the side. The only star deduction was the bread order (which you would think would be the easiest but maybe I’m wrong) it was ordered to go with our lobster bisque but arrived closer to the main entree. The other odd thing is they charged for blue cheese stuffed olives in our martinis, something out of the ordinary enough it should have been mentioned to us when offered. We love a blue cheese olive, but if we were informed it was an upcharge we could have left them off the cocktail. We ate outside, and the heater placement was perfect, all and all a wonderful meal.

Great spot for deliciously unique foods, great service and views of the ocean. There’s indoor seating and patio seating with fireplaces. There was live music on the Friday evening we went as a group of 4 with some local friends who love this place. All the plates we tried were delicious.

We tried this place recently for a date night and had a good time. We chose an outside table so we could enjoy the sunset on the beach. Our table was quiet and secluded which was romantic. Our cocktails were great. The French 75 and Manhattan both had great flavor. The gulf grouper was tasty, but was a little on the saltier side. I enjoyed the gnocchi and rock shrimp. The food portions don’t really match the price, but the atmosphere is worth it. Our waiter Joe was excellent. We would come back just for him, but the views were excellent too.

The view from the outdoor patio is lovely. The food was decent, but my scallops weren’t cleaned the greatest and still had grit in them. The service was pitiful, especially given the price point. Drinks went empty better than 50% of the time.

Excellent experience! We we’re in Gulf Shores, Alabama for a week. These photos are from the end of March in 2024. It was still fairly chilly and we sat indoors. The waiter, staff, were great friendly, and fun. Good lighting, not too loud, was very busy!! It was added to the amazing experience of being in Gulf Shores, Alabama for the first time. This was a date night meal. The price point is a true reflection of the quality, everything was outstandingly delicious. We did make a reservation, and we still had to wait. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves more than we expected!

Perch is one of the top five restaurants in gulf shores/orange beach. The view is definitely one of the best on the beach. The atmosphere is excellent. The food is great. The service is perfect! We make sure to stop by at least once every week or two for dinner and/or drinks. The sunsets in the fall/winter/spring when the sun sets over the gulf are incredibly beautiful.

Was feeling lazy, so we didn’t go out anywhere for dinner. Just stuck with Perch at Gulf State Park – one of the restaurants at the hotel.
What a surprisingly delightful choice. I’m fairly skeptical about hotel restaurants in general, but this one hit every note perfectly. Service was exceptional and friendly – and the food was worthwhile!
So glad for a few low keys days with my best friend – good food, saltwater, and being lazy.
The scallops were truly special and an adventure to eat. Every bite perfectly balanced.
The coconut margarita made with fresh coconut? It’s gonna be one of my closest friends when the weekend is over.

We don’t get to splurge often but when we do we hope and pray the money spent was worth it. “Perch” did not disappoint in food, service or atmosphere. The outside seating was spectacular, our waitress was just the right amount of waitress (meaning she knew when to come to the table and when to hold off) and the food was delicious! We would happily recommend this place and will be back when we come for another visit!
