The service was exceptional! (The bar has wayyy tooo many bar stools.)The drinks and food, less than par. Out of cranberry juice, the tortilla chips are thick and ugh..Def not my choice of good chips. The salsa was sub par, the queso was meh., the beef fajitas were okay, but no joke the fajita meet was cut into ¼” squares, so on 3 tacos there was 3 Oz..maybe…of meat for $20?..unacceptable. The refried beans were the same as every other Tex-Mex place. The rice had no flavor. Bartender was great though…

The new Peraltas building is open and it gets a full 5 Stars from us! We had dinner there on 1/10/2026 and it was EXCELLENT! The waitress was super friendly and courteous and the place is really nice inside and out. Very clean, spacious restaurant, great ambience. We had fajitas for two and it came out smoking sizzling hot delicious. Rice and beans also very fresh and hot. Their chips and salsa, also fresh and tasty. What a great place all around. Kudos to Peraltas management and staff!!

We stopped in on Sunday 3/1 after driving from the Dallas area to help my brother move. He suggested we go eat there. We arrived at approximately 3:10pm and walked in [the doors were unlocked] only to have 2 maybe 3 employees rudely tell us they closed at 3. No sign on the door with hours posted and again the door was unlocked. We just said ok and as we went to leave one of the employees [female] stated they had plenty of extra mops and brooms. I didn’t find it funny but extremely rude. My mom is a senior citizen in her late 60’s and also a diabetic and needed to eat. Horrible first impression and if I was ever back in Quitman and this was the ONLY place open I would not take my family there or spend a penny at this establishment. Do better !!

It started when we where taking to out table the person sitting us just placed menu on table and left said nothing. Then it took 13 minutes to get drink order then another 7 minutes before getting them. Then when food order was taken we received food in 15 minutes the flautas were corn chicken burritos and my chimichanga was small asked with no sauce on top and I got sauce on top. I saw a customer get up and fill his own glass of water now i know why. I then asked them for a glass of water and I received that AFTER we were done eating, why bring it at that point. I saw another person try to wave down his server to get his check and it took him 5 minutes to get his check. NOT a place to return as there are other places way better than this. First time visit and last.

The service from our waitress was excellent here, (the reception from the man seating us was pretty dry and unwelcoming)…. The food just didn’t do it for me. There was very little spice or flavor on the Carné Asada. Everything else seemed like it came from a can or was microwaved. Again,The waitress was outstanding. 10 years ago this place was quite a gem, now it’s pretty rough at best.

Aa soon as I walked in, I couldn’t help but notice the harsh chemical smell of floor cleaner! They use way too much which affects my sensitive nose, and skin. The server was very nice, but the food was just ok. I don’t care for Tex Mex, it all tends to be smothered with way too much yellow cheese, and the Chile con Carne sauce is too greasy. The steak taco had a weird flavor it. I prefer real Mexican food. I will not return.

Wonder Tex Mex! Staff is friendly. The food came out fast and hot. Fajitas are exceptional! Real Queso! Salsa is also is Perfect. Highly Recommend. Great place to Celebrate.

Store bought tortillas. Fajitas good. Sopias terrible, couldn’t eat, believe bought and frozen for months. Complained at checkout and still charged me. They just said sorry.
