Look at this pizza! That’s a plain cheese pizza with fresh mushrooms and black olives cooked in a wood-fired pizza oven. The crust is delicious and firm enough to fold in half, pick up and enjoy without a knife and fork. Pera Pizzeria has the art of pizza cooking down to a science, and you will love it for these cold fall and winter days coming up. As a native New Yorker, I highly recommend Pera Pizzeria for that hearty, traditional-style pizza that will delight your entire family.

Was in the area for a dentist appointment and stopped in for a slice, all the had was cheese but he put some pepperoni in the oven for me. Small place, no real seating but the service and pizza were outstanding. I will definitely be back to try a whole fresh one!

Absolutely phenomenal pizza. Been to NY and had several of Dave Portnoy‘s favorite pizzas. Once you go down the rabbit hole of becoming a pizza snob, you realize we just don’t have that kind of pizza here in Michigan. Now this isn’t quite the same as NY or Freddy the pizza man in Detroit but it’s delicious. Great sauce, great cheese, solid crust. Good char and recommend asking for well done if you like a little extra char flavor.

This is the best tasting pizza I’ve had in years in the Grand Rapids area. It’s a small family owned business and their menu offers a nice variety. Will definitely be visiting them again.

Pera also has great Turkish food! The smells and tastes remind me of the time I lived in Turkey. Try their humus and shish; you will not be disappointed. The service and people are also wonderful!

The food was great! There was a little seating outside and it was super cute. Definitely recommend the Burek Sticks and Pera Puffs! Would definitely go back.

The Kurdish pizza was really good and the crust was crispy and flavorful. Highly recommend if you’re around this area.

Best pizza ever The brick oven makes the flavor so unique and delicious, and you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. The rice pudding was also perfect, the best sweet finish! Can’t wait to come back again with friends.

Day 2 at Pera Pizzeria. We are in process of moving to Grand Rapids area with my husband’s job and this is the first trip we brought our 8 y/o son. Grand Rapids Downtown felt too NOT kid friendly late afternoon and he was insistent on pizza. We found this fabulous spot in East Grand Rapids last night at 8:53, they were closing at 9:00. They do not have a dine in option so we expected them to say it was too late to order, but the young girl at the counter looked back at the two in the back, who could possibly be her parents, which were making pizzas from what appeared to be all fresh made ingredients and they nodded. We were able to order. We were more than impressed! ..with the one piece we each got!! Our little one laid claim and ate the entire pizza!! We had to go back today and order our own. Just as impressed. AND even as busy as they are they remembered us. We will definitely be back. I will also sing their praises!! I have not had pizza this amazing since.. well since ever.

Have always had a good experience here. We have tried almost every pizza on the menu but our favorite is the Pera. This is a small family owned business and we always feel like we’re treated like family when we come. The owner gave us fresh baklava on the house the last time we went! They are very friendly and we will keep coming back as often as possible.
