Great pizza, pan style Chicago deep dish. Seemed lighter than other deep dishes I’ve had. Sauce and flavoring was delicious. Charred caramelized crust is also awesome. Top 3 Chicago deep dish pizza for sure!

This is the place to go for authentic Chicago style pizza! The food did not disappoint at all! Just don’t go if you’re on a time crunch! We went around lunch time on a Monday and it was not too busy when we were there but it seems as if reservations are generally recommended. We were seated immediately but I had to ask the host who our server was after waiting several minutes because no one came to greet our table. That basically set the tone for the whole experience… our server only checked on us twice and anytime we needed anything, I had to flag someone down or get up and ask for it. TWO HOURS after we walked in, we were finally walking out. That’s a very long time for what was intended to be a quick stop in for some pizza. The pizza was very good, though and I would definitely go back for takeout. They also ship worldwide so that’s an option for folks stopping in from out of town who fall in love with the pizza like we did!

We were in town for a friends birthday and she wanted some Chicago Deep dish. We searched all over the internet and got the usual main 4 pizza places. We hit up a friend who lives in town and they recommended Pequod’s. It was a little drive north of downtown but totally worth it! We’re not from Chicago and aren’t versed when it comes to deep dish but we all enjoyed our experience and even had a person in our party who didn’t care for deep dish but even they said it was great and changed their view on deep dish.

Pequod’s was my first experience with Chicago deep dish pizza. I ordered my pie to go. The pies took 75+ minutes to make that day, as the line was around the corner. It was worth the wait. The pies are high quality and authentic. The sauce was amazing and the pie is filled with toppings. I got a small and couldn’t finish it in 2 sittings. It’s very dense and likely ideal for sharing. Highly recommend.

A must!! We had to try both the famous pan pizza AND the thin crust ,so we got both and ended up bringing 5 pounds of pizza home. We got the mozzarella sticks and a half order of wings to start since we were starving and the kitchen was backed up a bit and they notified us once we sat down that it may take over an hour for a pie to come out. The apps were good – crispy wings and fresh mozz sticks. Pizza was worth the wait! The pan with their infamous caramelized crust looks like it’s burnt, but it’s so tasty and addicting. The thin crust was also good, but I’d prefer the pan if I had to choose one. Toppings are fresh and meats are so tasty. Service was really good even thought it was so busy and they checked on us often. Definitely recommend

Best pizza in Chicago! Ordered the cheesy garlic bread and medium sausage and pepperoni pan pizza. The caramelized crust was amazing! Had leftovers. Will definitely visit again!!

Chicago is renowned for their deep dish pizza and it is available all over the city BUT if you want to try a pan cooked deep dish pizza with the yummiest of the smoked pizza crust then head straight to Pequod’s.

Amazing and I dare I say amazing pizza that is absolutely worth the wait. I highly recommend you make reservations to eat here if you intend on dining in. Street parking is available via the meter, and then it’s free after 8PM. The pan pizza is the best with pepperoni and sausage. The Pepsi they get from the machines is probably the best I have tasted (not watered down). I took my family here and we very much enjoyed it. Just be patient with waiting to be seated and be patient with the cooking of the pizza.

I’ve live in Chicago for 30+years and I finally got to eat the best deep dish in Chicago. Hands down don’t go anywhere else for the best pizza Chicago has to offer. The thin crust is amazing as well. It’s loaded with pepperoni and cheese. If your touring Chicago DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THE BEST CHICAGO HAS TO OFFER!

Had to try it and throughly enjoyed it. Every bite towards the crust of the pizza gives you a new flavour and texture profile. The pizza covers all the bases and is a must have when visiting Chicago. Definitely don’t go there when you are starving, going at dinner you will probably wait an hour plus for the pizza and MAKE RESERVATIONS so you can have a place to eat:)
