This place lives up to its name: little care, little effort, little portions, little variety, and pequeNO seasoning. The only big thing was the forced 20% gratuity for our table of 3. The rice clearly came from a box and the beans were watery, plus they were not vegetarian-friendly. Save your money and go to Taco Bell; they’ll at least offer you a side of hot sauce with your meal.

I had dinner here and the food itself was good and I would give that four stars. The staff was certainly quite friendly, but our waiter and bartender need to be better trained. We waited about 10 minutes for our drinks and there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. The bartender was literally standing around doing nothing but talking with other staff members. Our waiter was nice, but he needed to be more attentive, especially since he was not busy. We had to ask numerous times for things and once we got our food, he disappeared until we were almost done. Also, be sure to check your bill when it arrives because they automatically add a 20% gratuity which the waiter did not tell us about nor is it annotated on the menu. It’s the law in Michigan to do this and they did not. Although I somewhat enjoyed this restaurant, I will not return because of the less than average service and the automatic gratuity. For a new restaurant they need to do better than this.

This place is new, takes some time to work out the kinks. Margarita’s we’re awesome, perfectly made Bira tacos also great, fajitas were good but could use more seasoning. Service was good, no problems there at all, friendly and attentive staff. I’m excited to have this place open right in downtown, we’ll be back!

This place is new. The food was high quality and tasted great! We had quesadilla, burrito and enchiladas. All with chicken and full of good flavor with fresh ingredients! Give this place a try, you will be glad you did.

We came to the Cantina the night of the opera, and they were busy. So we were happy to get a table! We were surprised by the cordiality of the server, and the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend the chorizo, and quesadilla.

New bar in Detroit. They are still working out some kinks, but give them another month and this is going to be a great new edition to downtown. Food was delicious, staff was a little light but the bartenders were great and they made the situation the best they could being short staffed. Can’t wait to come back and see how this place will continue to evolve!

I had the spicy ground beef tacos that were yummy, the salsa had lots of fresh veg, the beans and rice were both great. The margarita was more like a limeade with a shot of patron and I loved it! Recommended.

A great spot for a quick meal before or after a game (near soon-to-be-renamed Comerica Park) or event a the Detroit Opera House across the street.
