I usually go to the location in standale but I was in Grand rapids so I decided to stop and see this one. I’ve had several friends tell me great things about this location. Great pizza and the breadsticks were amazing. I wasn’t a huge fan of the pickles that they used for the deep fried pickles but I think that’s a personal choice. Overall great atmosphere if you’re watching the game or just wanting some good food.

I like restaurants where the hostess gives you a choice of seating. Or asks where you’d like to sit. Peppino’s had a few people at the bar but the restaurant area was totally empty except for one family. So the hostess, without saying a word, led me to a booth right next to the family. I wanted to sit one booth away but was told that wasn’t possible. (There were also tables available and later I noticed hightops near the bar which I would have preferred). So Peppino’s went immediately from 5 stars down to 2 or 3. The pizza was very good; the service was good; but the rudeness of the hostess means I won’t be back nor can I recommend this place to others.

I got the double smash burger and fries. The burger was so slippery and hard to eat. It wanted to slide off the bun every bite so ypu had to hold it all in place every bite and get ypur hands super messy. The fries were cold and stale and they didn’t give me the spicy ranch that I paid $1.25 for. I guess you might want to stick to pizza if you get anything from here. I won’t be.

Had a 30 top with another 10 top next to our table. Food was good. Service was lacking. 1 server for 40 people was inadequate! 3 checks were over charged for beverages and only 1 was properly removed. Guests were told they could be from our 3rd table and they refused to remove them (their checks were verified to be correct). 1 order of food was “forgotten” under the warmer. Our server seemed more interested in the patrons at the bar. Women’s bathroom had Dawn dish soap for hands with no paper towels. Our dishes were never cleared; we did our own. Could it be the guaranteed 20% tip for being a big group doesn’t warrant good service?
With positive experiences at the Allendale location, we expected better. Such a disappointment!

Pizza was good, artichoke spinach dip was average. Service was excellent but be aware there is a 20% HAPPY HOUR CHARGE added to your bill. We came in at 1030 and after getting the bill we were told there is an extra charge for ordering food after a certain time. I was surprised the place was so empty with many games happening but 20% up charge for nothing explains it. We will not be back.

A tale of two cities: Grand Rapids and Kentwood. Admittedly I go to the Kentwood location on a somewhat regular basis, not known by name but recognized by at least one staff member whenever I’m there. The main menu stops about an hour before closing, drinks served until 15 minutes before, and fried apps available until close. There’s been times we’re finishing a drink and talking well after close and it’s no big deal. The spin dip is the best I’ve ever had. Grand Rapids, not so much. Went there last night and walked in at 10, they don’t close until 11. Was told the kitchen closes in 15 minutes and could tell we weren’t really welcome but stayed anyway. Ordered the spin dip which was nothing like the other location, shredded onions in it and the chunks of artichoke were huge, flavor not great. Got the bill and noticed the suggested tip only had one dollar increments which seemed weird but looked farther up and saw a “late night tip” added onto the bill of 20% without ever being mentioned ahead of time. Certainly not going to tip any more after that experience and will stick with the Kentwood location from now on

I love Peppinos downtown. Food is made from scratch and always delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of the pizzas, wraps, burgers or wings. It’s within walking distance of the Van Andel arena and open late, so it’s perfect for after concert/event food and drinks. Also, it’s pretty close to then children’s museum. Ask for the server Julia. She’s my favorite. She’s very attentive and friendly— an excellent server. I’ll be back!

Came to GR for a concert and decided to check this place out. The cocktails taste amazing! Decided to get the cheese bread that’s only $5 during happy hour and a deep dish Hawaiian pizza. The cheese bread was VERY cheesy. Most places get skimpy during happy hour specials. NOT HERE! The pizza? Absolutely amazing!!!!! Not a single complaint. Dough was nice and crispy but not over baked. Great quality of ingredients. MUCH better than your average pizza chain. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had lunch at Pepinno’s Pizza on the weekend. Street parking in downtown GR was free. Our family enjoyed our time here. This restaurant has a sports bar setting with great beers and pizzas
