We found Peppers about a year ago, and now it is one of our favorite restaurants in the area, and we go there very regularly! Although there are buffet options on some days, we always order à la carte. There are many food options to choose from, and they are all delicious and flavorful. We have tried different dishes each time, and some of our staples are the boneless chicken biryani, paneer tikka masala, and garlic naan.

The waiters and waitresses there seem relaxed and low key. They are always available and never rushed when helping you, so while they are not constantly checking on you, they create such a warm, homey feeling when you eat there. Highly recommend it!

We ordered Ghee Sada Dosa, Paneer Tikka Kebab, Fried rice and Manchurian.
They don’t have Manchurian Gravy, however on our request they were able to provide us with Manchurian Gravy. The food here is really amazing. We did wait a bit for the order to arrive but I promise it is worth the wait. If you are craving indian taste in Connecticut, this place won’t disappoint. Do visit and check out for yourself. The staff here is also very polite and the ambience is also pretty good.

I visited this restaurant for the buffet on December 25, and it was a very disappointing experience. Most of the food items had a bad, almost expired smell. Even the dosa tasted terrible. The mixed fruit kesari was extremely hard, like stones, and clearly not prepared properly. The curd rice was poorly mixed, and all the chutneys were disappointing. I have never experienced such poor food quality before. I would not recommend this place.

Went for the Thursday evening buffet and it was 10/10, the best South Indian buffet in Connecticut hands down. The Dosa(crepe ) station had 10 different dosa varieties to choose from, all made fresh on the grill right in front of you. From idly to chole bathure to Indo Chinese they have a bit of everything from the subcontinent and that too at $15 per person. I thoroughly enjoyed the South Indian varieties, the chutneys, sambar Dosa, Rava were excellent

Facts about this place.
-They serve beer (local on tap and Indian beer bottles)
-Chai and dessert was included in the buffet
-Spacious booths and tables
-They have 5 hand wash stations in the back
-Huge reception area for private gatherings

Cannot recommend this place enough!! Want to give their weekend lunch buffet a try for their dum biriyani, we’ll be back for more for sure!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The carryout order was completed very promptly.

I ordered South Indian plates such as dosa and uttapam along with samosa. All items were of good quality and quantity. The chutney were great too.

There is ample parking in front of the restaurant. The only advice to the owners is – they need to face lift interior and exterior of this establishment.

This restaurant is our favorite go to place whenever we pass Connecticut. Today we want to sit down and try the dishes fresh out of kitchen. Our kids favorite is gobi chili with a hint of spice and shahi panner is so good. They really loved it. We tried Pompert fish fry and it’s so good without any fish smell and sizzling hot. We also tired Hyderabadi chicken gravy which is really yummy with exact amount of heat and spice and it went so good with garlic naan. Finally chicken dumplings biriyani – we loved the taste of chicken blended in the rice. Thank you Jothi for the wonderful service and being patient with us today!!

Sunday lunch buffet. Style (to me) is typical of Hyderabad and other nearby Southern Indian style(s). I had the opportunity to work in India, Peppers would fit in there, as the style is authentic and delicious. There are a variety of soups, salads, chutneys, biryanis, breads, desserts, curry’s, veg/meat etc.

Also, the clientele is a mix of Indian food appreciators, and S. Asians were well represented when I went, a good sign.

Overall excellent, authentic Indian buffet, I highly recommend Peppers, and look forward to going back in the future.

There was one negative, Peppers automatically adds gratuity to their bill. I didn’t notice this until after I left. They (their management) had a bad policy, and should inform their customer, instead of being underhanded.

29-Mar-25 update: although the restaurant business hours open at 11:30 AM (it was a Saturday), the buffet wasn’t ready and setup was not complete until after 12 PM. I waited, and other hungry patrons waited for 20-30 minutes before the buffet was ready to serve. This part was not good, but it was worth the wait.

Just as before the food was spectacular, the service was good, prompt and attentive.

Unlike before gratuity was NOT added to the bill. Solid Hyderabad-style Indian buffet, well done, again, great lunch buffet, very authentic.

I had an amazing experience at Peppers Restaurant! The food was excellent — I ordered Veg Kheema, Vijayawada Chicken Biryani, Paneer Tikka Kebab, and Curry Leaf Chicken medium trays for a party. Every dish was flavorful, but the Veg Kheema and Paneer Tikka Kebab really stood out — perfectly cooked and full of taste. The portions were generous, and the service was great too. Definitely one of the best places for authentic and delicious food. Highly recommend!
Thanks to chef shiva and Amit for making food delicious
