Pepper’s is wonderful. They hosted our neighborhood dinner club of more than 70 people across two seatings. Everyone commented on the wonderful service and food as they left.

It’s lively with background music, and outside bar that early arrivals hung out till their seating. We there on Taco Tuesday and the taco specials were vey tasty.

They have beautiful decor and lamps made in Mexico. I had a few appetizers, small shrimp taco, and another one, chips and salsa. I did not care too much for the salsa. Then on to a pork taco, a chorizo taco with some refried beans and rice. The owners are a young husband and wife duo. They had a singer there. She was very good. Lovely voice. A friend of mine got up there and sang. I was surprised and impressed. He did a great job. I had a margarita and another drink-very good!

Absolutely loved it—10/10! The vibe is amazing, and the food selection is spot-on. You have to try the queso and tableside guac—they’re unforgettable. My faves are the Birria tacos and California burritos, and the cocktails were the perfect match for our relaxed Friday afternoon lunch. I’m already planning to come back for dinner soon!!

Very pleased to have a really good Mexican restaurant close by. The food here is really authentic, made fresh everyday food and it’s delicious. I love the variety of choices and I think the chimichanga is the best, but the quesadillas rank right up there! The drinks are amazing, not just your run of the mill margaritas. I ordered a flight and got 4 full size margaritas (yikes!), they were all delicious! They have a full bar with a huge selection of tequila! The service was great. Portions are big and prices are moderate! You will not be disappointed!

We had a party for about 40 people on the outdoor patio. We arranged for a taco bar that was absolutely delicious . Their chicken taco was so moist and flavorful, best I ever had. They even accommodated for a gluten free diet with their homemade corn tortilla, yummy! The servers and bartender were so sweet and pleasant. Francisco, the manager, was so easy to work with on the arrangements. He is the biggest reason why I chose to have the party there. He made me feel that it was important to him for everyone to have a good time and enjoy themselves. It was a nice setting, good food and a good time. I would highly recommend for a party or just going there to have a meal.

Love the atmosphere and location. The food is great. We go for taco tuesday specials where tacos are all $3 except for the birria. Their surf and turf tacos is the best! They have live music sometimes and it’s always a good time. Table side guac is little pricey but you get a lot and can definitely feed 2 or more if sharing.

The place is new and extremely spacious. It has a very modern, open feel to it. I sat at the bar and the lady who waited on me could not stop smiling all night. The food is pricey and of high quality. I tried several different dishes to get an idea of the food. I enjoyed the food and plan to come back and try a different set of menu items.

Great service & delicious food. Best Birria tacos I’ve ever had. The guacamole was so good too. Made fresh at your table. We also had a cheese and meat appetizer that was amazing. Will be returning next time I’m in Jacksonville.

I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at Peppers. I’ve been a loyal customer since the restaurant first opened and have always enjoyed the food, drinks, and atmosphere. However, my recent visit was disappointing due to the behavior of the manager and the overall decline in service quality.

I had an issue with my order and politely asked to speak with the manager. When he came over, his greeting was curt and dismissive. Rather than listening to my concern, he immediately acted as though everything I was saying was incorrect, which made me feel uncomfortable and unheard. I rarely make complaints, but this interaction was particularly upsetting.

I’ve also noticed lately that the service has declined. Some of the newer servers don’t seem very familiar with the menu or what items come with certain dishes. I’ve also experienced a few instances of being mischarged. For example, on my last visit, my server, Melissa, charged me for a “to-go” order even though I dined in and didn’t order anything to go. While it was only a dollar difference, it’s the principle that matters—especially for regular customers. When I mentioned it to her, she didn’t seem to care, and neither did the manager when I brought it up.

I will say that the bartenders continue to provide excellent service. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, which makes sitting at the bar a much better experience than table service. Unfortunately, I’ve also noticed that the manager tends to be short and disrespectful toward both customers and staff, which creates a negative environment overall. The manager, Fransico has yelled at a few of the servers infront of the customers once even when the server was trying to take our order. I find this unprofessional, as we shouldn’t have to hear that conversation.

I truly hope Peppers can address these issues. The restaurant has great food and drinks and a welcoming atmosphere, but stronger management and better-trained servers would make a huge difference. I want to see Peppers continue to succeed, and I hope my feedback helps improve the experience for everyone.
