The ambiance was warm and welcoming — a great place to relax and spend quality time with your loved ones. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.
Definitely coming back again. Highly recommend if you’re craving flavorful Indian food in San Jose!
We had Chili Chicken and Murgh Prada Biryani( Chicken biryani). The Chili chicken was a bit okay but the biryani was not good at all. It had no flavors, tasted as if washed in water after cooking and we could only taste vinegar in it.
Can’t wait to try more dishes when I have time to sit down, the restaurant has outdoor seating next to the park in the neighborhood with other local businesses.
Show some support and enjoy great food!
Taste and Service both were really poor. Chicken Biryani was so tasteless and caused me an upset stomach.
Save yourself from this.
Most recently, I ordered online to pick up. Just before my order was supposed to be ready, I got a phone call saying that there was a problem with the system and they needed to take my order over the phone. This was going to take another 20 minutes on top of the original 20. I waited for 25 minutes at the restaurant, and only then they told me they were out of one of my items. I ordered a substitution, face-to-face, and another 5 to 7 minutes later he tells me they’re out of that. In total, it took them an hour to have my order ready and 40 minutes of that was waiting at the restaurant. While I was waiting, I saw tables bring back dishes that were cold and not get what they ordered. I also heard that there were delivery app orders with hour waits. When they did complete my order, they almost put the wrong item in my bag.
The server obviously had food industry experience and was trying to keep the ship afloat. I felt really sorry for him, because he seemed to be on top of everything while the two cooks (owners?) in the kitchen fumbled around and didn’t listen to him. He apologized and offered me a free soda and free naan at least. The vibe in there was tense, though. Looks like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares waiting to happen. Makes me sad, because at one time, it was my favorite. But, all good things…
The Afgu Naan with Malai Kofta and Zafran veg pilaf is a literal treat on a cold winter day.
Highly recommend.
One of the most affordable yet delicious Indian restaurants in Bay Area and South-bay.
