The house that Spaghetti Built! Paying tribute to Nicks Spaghetti House, we have built on this legendary spot by maintaining the style of Nicks as a visual, while elaborating on American Italian red sauce cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. Some of our staples include, fresh house-made pasta, Detroit style pizza and more! By Banda Volpi, the gang behind Osteria Savio Volpe, Caffè La Tana, and Pepino’s Spaghetti House.
Warm, laid-back Italian eatery with wood paneling offering pasta, cocktails & wine.

We ordered the chicken piccata, two pizzas, a Caesar salad, and vodka penne, and every dish was outstanding. The chicken piccata was perfectly cooked with a rich, lemony sauce, the vodka penne was creamy and full of flavour, and both pizzas were loaded, crispy, and seriously addictive. Even the Caesar salad was spot on — fresh, well dressed, and generously topped.
Service-wise, our server did miss a few items on our order and our drink orders, which caused a bit of a delay — but honestly, the food more than made up for it.
Classic Italian comfort food done right. We’d absolutely be back for the food alone.
The good was delicious, and the servers made adjustments for us to cater to our picky kids. She also proactively asked if we wanted to have the food come as it’s ready (rather than in courses) since we were dining with children. This is always much appreciated. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the Caeser Salad…i still think about this salad. The Tiramisu was also so yummy. What a great dining experience!
Can’t wait to be back!
The service was also great. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and they gave her a card, and even a cannoli with a candle at the end of our meal. The waitress was very kind and was very on it with refilling water. Unfortunately, due to the very tight conditions, my elbow hit into two separate waitresses. I doubt I’m the only one, so I hope the waiters/waitresses don’t get bruised up.
We plan to return sometime.
The space is a little tight, but the service is fast and solid. They check on you often and make sure your water is always full.
The gnocchi is on the saltier side and felt a little overcooked, which is hard to fathom given the pedigree of the restaurant. The rigatoni alla bolognese was delicious and the star of the pastas.
Overall, it’s a good pasta spot and reservations are recommended.
I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good, old style Italian flavors.
No complaints: food was amazing, portion sizes were amazing. The place definitely lives up to its hype.
Server: Fast and efficient, water is always top up and quality check on food several times. No excessive service that interrupted conversation. Well done. 9/10
Food: Different dishes give different unique flavor, the sauce is well balanced between tomato flavor and acidity. Other tomato based dishes also has its own characteristics with the use of different spices. The price is on a higher end. Not sure if the pasta is made in house, but for its price, it should. 7.5/10 *Dessert are not bad, but not a “Must try”.*
The atmosphere is warm and nostalgic, with a lively energy that makes you feel like you’re part of something special the moment you walk in. On top of that, the service is friendly, attentive, and efficient, even when the place is busy.
Whether you’re a local or visiting Vancouver for the first time, Pepino’s Spaghetti House is a must-visit. A true institution and well deserving of five stars. I’ll absolutely be back.
