I realize I’m in Maine… but this is NOT Mexican food. It was unseasoned hamburger and soggy flour tortilla for the carne burrito. Stuffed poblanos was actually frozen jalapeño poppers. The beans look like bean pure’. The 80/90s rock blaring should have been the give away. The staff was cool. But the food NO THANK YOU

Not only is the food extremely bland and nowhere near authentic Mexican cuisine, but the staff is overtly racist and like to impose a 3 drink maximum (over several hours) on their Black & Brown customers, while others get to have as many as they would like. The irony of a Mexican restaurant having a racist staff is just beyond me. Stay away from this place!

Nice decor and waitstaff. The food was good but not great. Lots of sauce choices, but the beef burrito was somewhat bland and served with no burrito sauce or cheese on top, just naked. Mexican rice was a little bland also.

Real expensive for what you get. The $6 kids meal was a good laugh when I opened the container.
My buritto was OK, Im pretty sure the chicken in it was straight up chicken with no spices/flavor. I had a bunch of things held to be fair.. but I do the same at los palapas and it has a whole lot more flavor.
I wont go here again.. its the least mexican mexican food Ive seen.

I have been a resident of Bangor for most of my life and have eaten at Pepinos more times than i can count. Generally i have been happy. Last night however, i placed a take out order. There was not one single item that was correct in this order. I was over charged for items i did not order and was not given items that i did order . The food was terrible! When i tried to call, the phone was literally busy for hours. Tried again today, no answer. So incredibly disappointed.

Really disappointed on Cinco De Mayo… Pepino’s is by far my favorite place to get Margaritas. I always get no ice as they are to go and they are always 3/4 full. When I asked today they told me what they gave me is standard. As a frequent customer just a tad disappointed on this holiday.

So bad. Very much a “white American attempts Mexican food” situation and everything tastes like it. Everything is unseasoned and so, so bland. Honestly a giant waste of money. The service was fine, but if you want food that tastes like something find somewhere else lol.
