First off I paid 14 dollars for a steak burrito with cilantro and cheese and the burrito was the size of a taco. I am very disappointed with the product that they gave me on a take out order. I advise you all to check your food before you leave because the signs at the restaurant strictly say no exchanges or refunds. I will never go back to that restaurant again. Wesley Cottrell

We dined on a Sunday evening. The place wasn’t very busy and it looked very clean. There seemed to be only one server and she was polite and friendly. She took our order and the food came out promptly. Overall, the food was good. Our biggest complaint is that the steak was not seasoned properly. My wife had steak tacos and I had a steak burrito. The meat in both dishes was soft and tender but had no flavor. Our kids each had something different and were pleased with their meals. I guess just avoid the steak. And I don’t know what this check out fee is but I’ve never been charged that at any other Pepe’s. They apparently have different prices if you pay cash. Pretty sure we won’t go back.

I can not give this place a zero so they get a 1 star. The waitress was incredibly slow and FORGETFUL. When I say forgetful I mean she would forget to replenish drinks and give you straws with your drinks, how dare I ask for a straw for my drink. Also, did not have fried ice cream. We asked if they did and she said she would find out and instead of finding out and letting us know she FORGOT to get back to us. It is hardly even too busy for it to be an excuse. I see why it’s not that busy. This location has the worst service. I ordered a taco salad for my daughter and thought they FORGOT the lettuce… Nope they just put it all on the bottom so the hot meat had made it all mush and slimy. When I sat for 15 min waiting for her to replenish drinks she then took another 10 min to bring water and I had to again remind her for straws. There’s a pandemic lady everyone should be using straws!!! She then said for me to talk nice when I said thank you for the straws. This woman must either be new or hate her job. I am disgusted with the service and ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT EVER BE COMING BACK!!!

This is a very good Pepe’s. I have been to some other locations in the past that are forgettable however this restaurant is not one of those. The food is fresh and tasty, the servers are attentive and the overall experience is good. Their steak tacos are very good as well.

I wouldn’t eat at this one again. The waitress tried to serve us bad salsa and then tried to play it off by saying “This is a salsa we only have at this location”. It was clearly off, it smelled like vinegar, the tomatoes were like a maroon-dark red vs a brighter red, and there were bubbles on top. That stuff was clearly fermenting.

Not sure who our waitress was last night cause she was rude and provided terrible service, she never introduced herself to us. I’m wondering if this is new management? The staff and food are nothing what it used to be. So disappointed and will be going to Hickory Hills or Countryside from now on. Such a shame cause this use to be my fave location. Good luck

Always a GOOD place for lunch and dinner. However…., Lately one notices the portions of “beans and rice” are much smaller than in the past as well as chips and salsa. The menu is still the same excellent choices but if you are asking for wines, they don’t have a GREAT selection or they are OUT. The SERVICE makes up for everything. Even though they were short-staffed our SERVER was VERY ATTENTIVE to what we wanted.

This used to be a really great place. I don’t know if it’s under new manager or they just don’t care because of the pandemic… But, things have really gone down hill. The food quality has changed considerably. As well as the quality of service. I had called repeatedly to place order. No one picked up phone. After several attempts and continued unanswered ringin I decided to go there. I arrive to a server rolling silverware and watching TV. When I surprised them with my entrance they seemed startled that the door even opened. My order was taken and food was bagged up and dropped in the window in minutes. Upon arriving back at home. I went to eat my food. The nacho platter that I ordered was just cold chips and greasy hamburger thrown over gas station nacho cheese and my dinner was tossed together like a food bowl for a hungry pet. The refried beans look like grey putty and the lettuce in box was brown. I say hard pass. There’s another Pepe’s twenty minutes away. Save your frustration and go somewhere else…

Horrible! I placed a carry out order. Got home & discovered that my order was NOT what I’d asked for. When I called the restaurant, I was told I could come back for my slices of tomato (which should have been added to begin with). Huh? So I asked for them to be remade correctly & was then told that I’d be charged again! Why? This is an inconvenience to ME! Not to mention, there was very little meat on one of them… smh. And I tipped them $2 on top of the 43¢ fee I was charged for using my card! And guess what? There are NO REFUNDS! I. WILL. NOT. BE. BACK! Very dissatisfied customer!
