I dont do steaks normaly, hwever I had the Flank steak, really good flavor, with so.e black beans, salad, rice and corn tortillas. Excellent food, friendly staff. The traffic in and out of the store is crazy, people love the bread. I grabbed a few for the road.

Honestly…i order a chicken cobb salad the chicken was good but for the price was not worth it. Literally it was just lettuce and literally 2 slices of tomato and it wasnt even the full tomato, a two slices of green pepper, cheese, and a couple of slices of carrots. And i waited over 30 minutes just for that. Again…it was good but i shouldnt go home cut more tomatoes and green bell peppers to make it a “salad” lol.

Girl with red lipstick behind counter was rude, terrible customer service, messed up my orders, and 4 plates for $70 bucks…and me and all my kids had diarrhea that same night from that food. Never again… wouldn’t recommend

So tbh I was working on a badge for yelp, and this one was a cheat. It was obvious that people were trolling the place, rating it $$$$ (über expensive) which got me the high roller badge.
But there was a price to pay.
The reviews said that this place served garbage. I thought this was yet another exagerration, just whiney, entitled, arrogant yuppies complaining about a location. Except, a lot of people were saying this.
Entering the shop I note it is clean, and it’s obvious there’s an identity crisis as there is a display with (fresh?) baked breads, and menu for a standard take out roast beef and seafood shop. I was willing to give this place a shot, I have found many diamonds in the rough where others have walked by not noticing the treasure. Except this would be fools gold which I would find.
Lady working the shop (cashier/cook) was friendly enough. The shop was clean. A sign for A rated health inspection on the front window. What could go wrong?

I ordered something simple and quick, which should have been delicious. The roast beef was horrible. It was grey and dry, cooked way past it’s prime. I think this place is sooo not-busy, that they are saving the roasts for days at a time and continually reheat/slice, making this a culinary abortion of a classic North Shore delicacy. The onion roll was oviously old as it was dry and the crust was crumbling off.
Not to be wasteful, I did what I had been taught as a child and finished my meal. There was something not right, there was a tang to it and I’m sure it wasn’t from the sauce and cheese I ordered for the sandwich.
Cut scene from me on my couch deciding if this is all a huge mistake, to me at work standing over the toilet… vomiting. Yes I had an upset stomach, started breaking out into a sweat, while my stomach did back flips.
I will usually give 2 stars if food is bad but service is good. But this is really bad, like I felt sick after eating the food. This is not okay, and this restaurant should be avoided. This is not the people’s choice.

I haven’t been here in years, so I stopped by one day and it has entirely changed from greek ownership to Spanish ownership which to me doesn’t matter, but when I tried to order they only spoke Spanish which is a major let down considering the demographics of the area

Great tasting food and fair prices! The guy at the counter is always really pleasant, and the food is ready rather quickly. Have had lunch there 3 days in a row now. Will keep going back. They also have different types of fresh bakery bread that you can choose from and take home. 5/5 recommend.

Just got a super beef 3 way with onions asked for light sauce extra mayo.And asked them to put it on the grill for a few seconds take some pink out.let me tell you worst beef I’ve ever had no onions no mayo all sauce rough chewy roast beef took 1 bite and tossed it in the trash. I’m not usually one to complain but this spot isn’t the same anymore. I haven’t had people’s choice in a grip so I decided to order it last week….WORST THING IN THE WORLD. Don’t get me wrong my steak and cheese was pretty good.. But I call and the lady doesn’t even speak English so thankfully I know Spanish. She takes my order and repeated it probably 3 times and tells me 15 minutes. I get there in 25 and my food isn’t even ready…or started.. So for some stupid reason I decided to give them another shot since the steak and cheese was pretty good… Decided to get a side of wings on the side this time with some steak fries that she didn’t even know existed.(same lady btw) again sais 15 minutes and this time I was caught up watching a show so it was a whole 30 minutes that I gave them this time. I get there…and again my food isn’t even started yet…I just don’t understand what happens? Does she even place my order or does she give it away? I know for sure I’m not going back.
