The atmosphere is very peaceful here. I love the food here . Ive tried at least half the menu . Food is cooked when ordered so everything is always super steamy hot when it arrives to the table. Portions are very generous and very inexpensive.

Me and my dad came to this little place here in Laguna Beach, The food was quite Delicious!
I enjoyed The honey garlic, jumbo shrimp, and my dad got the Mongolian beef. Those were lunch specials and the food taste delicious. the cost is actually quite good! I would definitely recommend this business! It was so good I dug in before I could take a picture of it when I first got it, ha ha ha!

Crazy to say this..but the best chinese food we’ve ever had. We’re vegan and vegetarian and while there weren’t so many options, the three things we ordered – cucumber salad, kung pao tofu, and bok choi with mushrooms – were all incredible. Fresh veggies, flavorful, well seasoned. And the ambience was laid back and cozy.

Great Chinese food! Right at Laguna Beach, and the prices are pretty good! The food was flavourful and pretty authentic. I recommend going for lunch because the lunch deals are great, although the portion size is smaller if you get lunch deals. There was only one server and the service was a little bit slow, but it’s a really great location, and the outdoor seating is amazing.

It had been about 18 months since our first visit. Have to say, ever since then, sometimes a craving for this place hits, but we live too far away to visit. BUT! This past weekend we were able to visit the Winter Sawdust Festival, so obviously we had to come back for lunch. And what a feast it was! Portions are still hearty, and the food is still a superb quality. This time we got the dumplings and egg rolls again, the chicken fried rice, the General Tao’s chicken, the Pad Thai, the House Garlic Chicken, the Black Peppered Beef, and some lovely hot tea. The Black Pepper Beef dish was my favorite again. The honey sauce on the General Tao dish was perfectly sticky sweet. All the chicken dishes were cooked perfectly. It certainly was a feast for 2 people, and we finished off the majority of everything. Service was kind and quick. Epic meal. Seating outside was cool and beachy, a perfect So Cal winter day.

Chinese restaurant right off Laguna Beach.
Very clean and modern restaurant.
Staff was nice and accommodating too.
Its kind of pricy for the portion, but that is to be expected for a restaurant right off the beach coast in a tourist area.
Not the best Chinese food but for the location and area, its a solid spot if you are in the mood for Chinese food.

What a find, right on the main drag of Laguna Beach, right across the street from the water. It’s actually in a food court but don’t let that fool you this was amazing place. A little bit pricey but well worth the quality and the amount of food. It was some of the finest Chinese food I’ve ever had.

We were in the area early for the Pageant of the Masters, and surrounding eateries all hand a longer wait time. We walked past this area, and they had a to-go menu tucked away along the sidewalk. We checked it out, and the pricing was good. As luck would have it, there was no wait to be seated, and we chose a shady corner outside. Service was quick and friendly, and knowledgeable. The waiter made sure to check allergies and spice levels, an extra bit of service we were happy to see. We ordered the vegetable egg rolls, the kung pao chicken, the orange chicken, the black pepper beef, the chicken fried rice, the chicken dumplings, and the chicken wonton in szechuan sauce. Starting with the appetizer items, the veggie egg rolls were a surprise! The veggie blend inside was hearty with hints of fresh herbs. They were perfectly fried. The chicken dumplings were pan fried. The filling was unique, as it was visually just chicken, but it was so flavorful. It was almost like XLB but in a different form. So good! The chicken wonton in szechuan sauce was unique. Not exactly my favorite, but it might be for someone else. For me, the spice level was fine, but it had too much of a lemon essence in it. I’m not sure if they used lemon oil, but it didn’t taste like natural lemon, and it was definitely the overpowering flavor of the dish. The chicken fried rice was perfect and basic, nothing fancy, but was a great base to build a plate on beyond white or brown rice. The kung pao chicken had a spicy kick! The veggies were fresh, the sauce was exactly what I expected, and the peanuts added a great crunch. The orange chicken was pretty much perfect, not overly sweet or otherwise pungent. The chicken pieces were cooked thoroughly without drying out. The black pepper beef was my favorite dish, and yes, there’s a lot of black pepper on it. The beef chunks were tender and the sauce was umami goodness. If I would have had leftovers of this one, I would have tried to make a black pepper steak sandwich at home. It was delicious. If you can’t tell from the pictures, the portions are generous, family style. This is as close to nostalgia home-cooked Chinese food as I’ve ever had. They are currently working on getting their beer/wine license, so that wasn’t available yet, but this is on the list to visit again if I’m ever in the area. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. I can see why the reviews so far are amazing.
