Our salmon and swordfish were overcooked. My daughter had the sea bass cooked in a Pinot Noir reduction, which she loved. My son-in-law had the Ahi, which he loved. For the price I expected better. The atmosphere was great though with outstanding views of San Diego and unique booths for dining in parts of the restaurant without views.

Our server was great! I wish I remembered his name it was an older gentlemen but he made us (party of five) feel welcomed and even cracked a few jokes keeping us entertained. We sat outside with a spectacular view of the water. It did get cold as the sunset and in the shade so we had the heat lamps on. Food was good. It was my first time there but not everyone’s and I was told the food used to be better. We shared an appetizer (pu pu platter) and some of the sides. Note: while they don’t have it listed as a side, it is possible to get the garlic mashed potatoes as a shared side. My dad was brought the wrong dish because the sides were wrong however it was quickly rectified. While I am not big on desserts the rest of the party enjoyed the hot lava cake which was made to order and, I’m told, extremely delicious. I ordered a sushi roll. Three of the five order a variation of steak or prime rib. My dad ordered the sea bass. If I ever make it back to San Diego, I wouldn’t mind going again.

We came for a birthday brunch and even though our party of nine waited about 15–20 minutes to be seated, everyone was so kind and the views were so pretty that none of us minded. Drinks took a bit to arrive, but once everything settled, the food absolutely stole the show. The guys ordered burgers stacked so high on pretzel buns they needed a game plan, and my seafood Cobb was loaded with big juicy shrimp, creamy avocado, and sweet lump crab , I want another one just thinking about it. And please don’t miss the calamari starter: lightly tempura-fried with thin veggie strips… honestly, I’d come back just for that.

The ambience here is gorgeous. Romantic and classic inside , and waterfront views on the patio and inside patio. However, it feels like some of the details are slipping. My dishware was dirty, though the host handled it quickly no big deal. Front staff was a little eh.. but my server was 10/10.
The food itself is just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable or exciting either. It has more of a traditional, old-school feel, the kind of place I could see my grandparents loving and coming back to often. For me, the flavors didn’t quite match the price point, so the value felt a bit off.
Overall, it’s a beautiful restaurant, but the food and execution didn’t fully meet the expectations set by the ambience or the cost.

We stopped by Peohe’s because we were considering hosting my mom’s 70th birthday there, but after our experience, that’s definitely not happening.
While we were seated right away, everything else went downhill. The beer selection was surprisingly bad, and the bottled IPA I ordered tasted skunked. The prime rib sliders were soggy and clearly not fresh…honestly pretty disgusting. Service was also painfully slow, even though it wasn’t busy.
For a place that charges premium prices for a luxury event space, the quality just wasn’t there. It’s a very expensive space for very poor food and service. Definitely not somewhere we’d trust to host an important milestone celebration. Would not recommend.

Service was great, the atmosphere was good – we came on a night there was a private party so we couldn’t sit outside which was a bit of a bummer. We were sat next to a loud party as well, so it wasn’t as quiet as we expected. But it looked really nice outside. The food was decent, but not really as “special” as we hoped. Beware, if you order the snapper, you get the whole fish. I did not expect that and the menu did not indicate it nor did the server warm me LOL. If that’s your thing – it’s fine. Clam chowder was pretty good. My husband got the Baja Salmon and it was tasty. We also got the molten lava cake which was delicious. Overall a good meal, but really nothing extra-ordinary.

Coming from the East Coast I’m spoiled by beautiful waterfront views, but this place did not disappoint! The waterfront views looking across at the city skyline was just perfect! The Happy Hour selection of food was alap phenomenal. And the server treated us like royalty. She went above and beyond to make my friend feel special on her 50th birthday. Highly recommended, next trip out, I’ll be back for sure.

I was super excited to try this place, but ended leaving super disappointed. I heard great thinks about the squid ink pasta, but after spending $51 on it i was disappointed. The Mac n cheese was ordered by the group and it was quite nasty as it was super watery. The only good thing the group decided was the crab cake and the views. Overall unless we came on the worst possible day I would never recommend this place to anyone wanting a great experience.

Terrific food and a great view of the city. Asked the waitress what her favorite dishes were and she didn’t disappoint! Also a wide wine selection for those interested.

Definitely a fancy, romantic restaurant. Highly recommended if you are having a date night. Service is superior. Great food, excellent drink menu. Recommend outdoor dining area during the evening because of the great view of the bay and downtown San Diego across the bay. They have gas lamps and table lights to create an ambient and romantic atmosphere.
