Love this little pub! Tucked back in the corner of the shopping center. We tried the clam pizza special, and it was amazing. The dough was one of the best I’ve ever had. The steak took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait. Flavorful, juicy, and well seasoned. We got the nachos for an appetizer and it was a shareable size for 3 ppl. The mango salsa on top was a nice touch.
Our server was very friendly and informative. She offered many suggestions and told us some of her favorite dishes. My husband got the smoked bitter sweet old fashioned and I got the reposado refresher. Delicious and the garnish was a dehydrated pineapple…so cute. Loved the spring drink names. Can’t wait to go back.

We’re really lucky to have Penny Town Pub in town. The food is consistently excellent, classic pub staples done really well. The service is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an easy spot to enjoy a great meal without feeling rushed.
I’ve personally had the cheesesteak and the smash burger, and both are very delicious and easy recommendations. It’s places like this that truly add to the community, and I sincerely hope Penny Town Pub is here to stay!

A small gem! Happened to come across this hidden pub on our way back from Philly airport. It is small and quaint. We had to wait for a table. It was worth the wait. The staff was so friendly and accommodating . In the future we will make a reservation.

Had to go pick up an etched bottle of wine commemorating the Eagles win nearby so we tried it and I was blown away. It’s small but we were there at 4, so that wasn’t an issue. Husband got the buffalo wings, I got fish and chips and we shared lobster mac and cheese. Also got zucchini fritte for an app. Husband prefers thinner zucchini; I loved that they were thick and you could taste the zucchini. They were piping hot and super crisp. Husband said the wings were really good and the blue cheese dip was great. I am a huge fan of fish and chips and have eaten it all over the globe. Pennytown Pub has one of the best ones I’ve eaten. Nice thin batter, thick, flaky fish. Homemade chips (wedges). They were served with malt vinegar, as all fish and chips should be. Mac and cheese was decadent. Delicious spiral pasta and rich creamy cheese sauce with a very generous amount of lobster. Ended the meal with one of the dessert specials of Chocolate chip mousse. So much food – packed up half of everything for another meal. Can’t recommend enough.

Stopped in with my wife on a Friday night heading to Lambertville for a show. She ordered the meatloaf, I had the cheesesteak and by no stretch this was the best cheesesteak I’ve eaten! We will definitely be back – this was just a google food find and I’m in love with it. Julia, our server was friendly, highly attentive, we didn’t have to wait for anything and she just knew what to bring.
This is a definite gem located in a corner of a strip mall and I’m so happy we found it!

Glad to see a new restaurant/pub finally opened up in the Pennington market area. Gave it a try with a friend and was pleasantly surprised at the friendly atmosphere. The bar was being serviced by manager Marissa, who certainly makes a great Manhattan! We had a bar pie special, entirely made from scratch and was delicious. Will definitely return for a dinner soon, so many good choices on the menu.

Loved our Cobb Salad! Sooooooo good! A friend and I wandered in a little after 8 pm on a Wednesday. They would be closing in about an hour and we didn’t want to eat something heavy so we ordered the cobb salad and it was delicious! The best bacon, the best everything was in this salad! We loved the dressing, and he even mixed it up for us so we didn’t have to do it ourselves!
The service was a little lacking, not attentive, and they weren’t even that busy. But the one thing we really did not like is that they charged three dollars for a refill on a half finished coke. So $6.00 for soda! Not cool! TELL US THAT BEFORE YOU REFILL IT! And it was half a glass. We thought the refills were free. When we saw the bill, I was pissed!
Despite that, the food that was coming out of the kitchen was incredible looking for other tables and we will definitely be back even just based on the great salad we had! The chef was out by our table and even asked how we enjoyed the food and I really appreciated that he really cares about what comes out of his kitchen and he’s an amazing chef! They added some new items to the menu, so we’re definitely going back to try some more amazing food! Food 5 stars, service 3 stars and food is pricey, (which we were told before we got there by others) but you know what? I’d rather spend a little extra and get a good decent meal with good quality ingredients, then pay for junk food. So to us, the prices are irrelevant as long as we enjoyed the food and it’s of good quality. Which it is! Our cobb salad was $19.00 with no protein. But it was so delicious. It was worth every penny! Kudos to the chef for great food and a menu that really caters to a bunch of different tastes, and I love all the appetizers they have!

I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Penny Town Pub. The experience fell short from start to finish.
We waited around 20 minutes just to receive menus, and our drink order was incorrect when it finally arrived. The food took an unusually long time to come out, and when it did, it was cold — not to mention, they brought the wrong pizza to our table. The restaurant was nearly empty, so the slow service was especially surprising.
Our server, Liam, mentioned he was new, which we appreciated him sharing, but overall the service and coordination were lacking. Even getting the check took longer than it should have.
This place just doesn’t compare to what Union Boil used to offer. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning anytime soon.
