I had such a wonderful experience at this diner! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and felt right at home. Our server, Paige, went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal.
The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. You can tell real care goes into every dish. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy comfort food done right, but with the kind of service that makes the whole experience special.

Newly opened, but by the quality of our meal, they will be open for many years to come. Where else in the North Country can you find homemade corned beef hash? Delicious! I had the Hasbrown Skillet (with a side order of hash) topped with over easy eggs. I had to take half of it home with me, very filling, and so good! Right now this establishment is cash only, but luckily they have an ATM inside ($2.75 fee) and are next door to DFCU (good for us locals). Despite being busy (they just opened a few days ago) the service was excellent and reminded me of the days when the Homestead was open here, many years ago. With the long standing history of the building and the many happy memories I have of eating here as a child (when it ran as the Homestead) I am very happy to see this place has finally fallen into the right hands, congrats Penny! We will be back again soon, and can’t wait to try everything on the menu!

Went with family here this morning while we were sitting I had ordered a Reuben was really good until I found hair in my food and I told the lady and she remade my food but accused me of putting hair in my own food. Never will go back owner was yelling at me and my family. Still charged

felt a bit like Bob Seger walking into this place. It’s definitely a local eatery, but after some awkward stares, everyone went about their way and were pleasant and welcoming to us out-of-towners encroaching on their sanctuary. Service was fast and friendly, and aside from my toast being charred, everything was well prepared and tasted great. If not for the charred toast, it would have been five-stars all around.
