Penny’s Diner saved us while we were in town! Thank goodness they’re open 24/7, especially on a Sunday when not much else was. Classic greasy-spoon diner vibes with consistently delicious food every time we ate there. The breaded fries are chef’s kiss — highly recommend dipping them in an Oreo milkshake Staff was friendly and welcoming, which made it even better. Would absolutely eat here again.

Tried this place out as it was close to my hotel. Came in and it was empty but there was tables that were left unclean, which still wasn’t cleaned even as I left. Food was cheaply a diner food but was pricey for the small portion. Staff was nice at greeting but did spent a long time chatting then getting us service.

Classic diner experience. Penny’s Diner serves up classic 1950s vibe including black and white decor, vintage posters, and being served at the counter. The scrambled egg breakfast was delicious! All that was missing was a tabletop jukebox.

Possibly the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I have given this place several chances over the last few years and each experience has only become more and more disappointing. It’s always the same thing. Always out of supplies and the same excuse every time blaming it on the truck not showing up. So what you end up getting is a makeshift on the fly meal that is always missing a couple basic ingredients. The food is poorly made at best and very over priced. Service is always friendly but often cat get the order correct the first time. It’s time for this place to stop playing restaurant and just shut it own. I won’t be giving them any more chances.

If I could give zero stars, I would. No greeting upon entering at 630am. After 5 min the waitress came, didn’t say hi, good morning, morning. Took our order, we ordered a ham and cheese omelet, orange juice, big scrambler and coffee. Took another ten min to get our coffee and juice. Only one lady taking orders, cooking and checking people out. Another lady came in and asked if she needed help and was told no. Watched her scatter around cooking another 4 orders, no coffee refill offered, not that I would want it. The worst coffee I’ve ever had, I wouldn’t even call it coffee. Finally the other lady came back but wasn’t helping to cook, refilled coffee. Finally after 45 min, our food came. The waitress/cook said sorry it took so long, I messed up on your order the first time I tried to make it. My 13 year old can cook better. I couldn’t even eat most of it. So unappealing and not good.

Decent breakfast. Nothing special. Denver omelette had mostly too much ham, not enough egg, and burnt veggies. Any sides you want to substitute cost more money unless you want cottage cheese or canned peaches.

It’s not your typical ‘greasy spoon’. The service was outstanding and the down home atmosphere was welcoming and much appreciated. Staff were excellent and hard working. I had a make your own omelette with hash browns and my dad had the ranch breakfast. Both dishes were served quickly and the coffee was great as well.

The place could use a deep clean and even a redesign of the kitchen layout.

Keep at it ladies!

Penny’s is not the place for a relaxing experience. You do not have menus, you have a QR code. Unless you use the QR, you do not know what they serve or pricing. When you ask the waitress to help, she was very rude and gave you a look like she was bothered at the fact you weren’t prepared for a QR coded menu and didn’t have a way to access it. The food, when brought, the toast for the grilled cheese was burnt. Aside from the main restaurant, we also followed the crew shuttle several times down the main street in town, and they are also very rude on the road. Consistently will go 20-25 in a 35, on a one lane highway, during school and morning rush hour, impeding traffic. You can not pass. When a police officer is in sight, they speed up, so it seems as if they do this on purpose. Do not recommend.

Ive been going to Penny’s diner the past 2 months and always for breakfast because the food and service is always consistent with Danny cooking and Jazzy serving. When Karen comes in she’s always welcoming with a smile just like your family. Me and my husband decided to come during dinner time (between 4pm-6pm) there was a young girl cooking named Jay I believe and a lady at the desk with red hair. The lady at the desk never smiled once and when we said we were here to eat she looked like we just ruined her birthday sighs says “Have a seat anywhere” and points to the tables. So we sat down and looked at the menu online. Placed our order with Jay and she kept coming back to us asking us questions about our food and how we wanted it like she forgot as soon as she walked away. As soon as the GM left Jay went over to the lady at the desk and another lady named Lauren I think? And started gossiping about other coworkers and they weren’t quiet about it either. It reminded me a the snobby cliques from high school. I was immediately turned off but my husband was hungry. We ate our food which was burnt and or cold. I was not happy at all. I plan to call the manager this week and tell her what happened. I’m sorry but gossiping about other employees in front of guests is just sad and childish.
We will ONLY come back for breakfast during the week when Danny and Jazzy are there.
These girls need to wake up and do their jobs.
How they acted is in no way shape or form a reflection on Baymont or Penny’s Diner or Karen. I believe they just can’t go a day with out talking about other people. So childish.

We were looking for a quick stop for lunch while driving through and we were not disappointed. Service was great and friendly, food was quick! My husband and I shared a club sandwich that was huge and delicious and our daughter had a cheeseburger, we had fries with both. We were shocked at at our bill when we paid, so affordable! We will stop again! Next time we will try a sweet treat, we were too full this time!
