My friend and I made our first visit early Friday evening. The service was good, and the food more than lived up to expectations.
We started with tender, well-seasoned beef skewers, crispy buffalo wings over blue cheese, and perfectly cooked roasted cauliflower paired with a tasty tzatziki sauce and pickled onion.
For my entree, I ordered the maple-glazed short rib. It was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth, and came with creamy sweet potato puree and roasted shallots.
My friend ordered the rich, deeply flavorful bolognese. Although she received the small plate portion rather than the entree, it wasn’t a major issue as we had more than enough food.
There are still many items on the menu I’d like to try, and after such a strong first visit, I’ll most certainly be back.
Denise took care of us, as well as the bartender, in their cool yet warm, modern establishment.
The food is always exceptional. In a nutshell, the chef caters to flavor, and balanced flavor at that, which makes each dish phenomenal.
I had the grilled octopus appetizer and it is the best octopus I have had since 1989. That is no lie.
Their shell and cheese, small beet salad, hummus, and fall risotto special are equally fantastic in their own right.
Enjoy the food, drinks, and quiet atmosphere. Whether small plates, entrees, or desserts, you have come to the right place.
One of my top restaurants in eastern-Pennsylvania.
The grilled octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the truffle fries were a delicious, aromatic treat. The main event, the shank pork, was savory, incredibly tender, and a must-try. I washed it all down with their fantastic in-house ginger beer so refreshing!
Beyond the incredible food, the staff and owners are truly wonderful. They were attentive, warm, and made the evening seamless. Their dedication to hospitality truly shines.
Highly recommend! I can’t wait to come back.
There was a limited menu but it was great choices. Everything was delicious. I was amazed by the prime rib. It wasn’t fatty or contained gristle. My wife love the duck and my daughter had the scallops. The cocktails were great as well. There are parking garages around but I was able to find street parking.
The Mrs and I will definitely come back here for out lunch/dinner dates.
Hope it remains consistent.
Our friendly server Kyle ensured that we got everything to our liking and was friendly and polite! We ordered a few cocktails and for food, we got the Roasted Cauliflower ($10), Pesto Arancini ($12), Stroganoff ($18), and Butternut Squash Risotto ($15). Food was absolutely delicious and the Butternut Squash Risotto was the tastiest dish on our table.
Service was excellent, and food arrived within 25-minutes of ordering. Noise levels were on the lower end, and the festive decorations definitely helped set the mood! Overall, we had a very good experience, and will highly recommend this place to friends and family!
It’s in walking distance. Beautifully restored building. The bar area is gorgeous. Food was delicious.
My partner and I stopped in for drinks and had a great experience overall. The cocktails were impressive- really balanced and flavorful. The bartenders were friendly and clearly knew their menu well. I wouldn’t call them craft-cocktail masters, but they definitely had a solid understanding of what they were making and were able to suggest smart substitutions (for example, swapping a strawberry syrup for raspberry if that’s more your thing).
This isn’t the kind of cocktail bar where you’d ask for something totally off-menu or custom, but the drinks they do serve are excellent and thoughtfully made.
Service was super friendly across the board. It took a minute for someone to greet me at the host stand, but not enough to really matter. We chose to sit at the bar, where we were greeted right away and taken care of the whole time. The space itself is nice- seating at the bar is a bit close together, but that’s to be expected at a busier spot.
One small note: there’s just one male and one female restroom, and a lot of women were using the men’s due to the line, but both restrooms were clean and well-kept.
Overall, this is definitely a place I’d come back to explore more of the food menu and to see how the cocktail list changes over time. Great drinks, friendly vibe, and a solid experience all around.
