If you’re looking for authentic Thai food, this is the place!! The food is absolutely delicious, always fresh and high quality ingredients. The staff is super friendly, and sweet. The environment is very chill, and there is Thai music playing in the background, to make you feel like you’re in Thailand for even just a moment. The dining room is very spacious and has some fun tropical plants. Great vibes. Delicious food! I’d leave 10 stars if I could!!

I stopped in based on reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit, and I was seated and my order taken right away. I got the pineapple rice with shrimp lunch portion, and it was more than I could eat. I asked for no spice and it was perfect, deliciously seasoned but with no heat (and lots of fried egg, which I particularly enjoy). I also liked the Tom Yum soup but it was too spicy for me to eat much of it. Highly recommend.

Pad Thai curry sounded nice with beef and spicy.
It wasn’t interesting dish. I’ve never had pad Thai curry and it turned out to be exactly what it sounds like pad Thai in curry sauce. It took some getting used to, but I tried to eat it. I think I like noodles that are less creamy and I have no curry. I’d like to be able to taste individual flavors of the vegetables and protein. Won’t be ordering this one again.
Quiet on a Tuesday night at dinner time. I like that the menus are at the table and the service was quick and responsive.

A new – to me – Thai restaurant. It’s almost noon, let’s go.
The building is unusual, multiple businesses with a central hall accessible from the east or west end. A small version of a mall.
Six booths and two tables welcome you.
Menus are under the glass top of the tables, I like that, efficient & hygienic.
Decided on Massaman shrimp curry. Comes with a cup of hot and sour soup. Great starter for a February lunch.
I tried joking with the person who brought my food (as I usually do) but she was not a receptive audience.
The food was delicious, and a good quantity, as well. Lunch portions are between $10 & $11.00, dinners run $13 – 14.00.
The vibe was a little more sterile than I prefer but it wouldn’t slow me down in return thoughts at all.

Great Pad Thai curry! But! It was definitely missing some cilantro, lime, and the peanuts. I would’ve loved to have all that. The noodles were a bit overcooked, but nothing to be disappointed about. A bit on the greasy side for me, but not a big deal. Will still be back!

The food is always good here and the employees are nice. The vegetarian options are nice. The hot and sour soup that comes before the meal is flavorful and comforting. The restaurant location is conveniently located nearby Beaumont/Corewell Royal Oak hospital, so I often stop here after appointments. There’s never a wait even though they are pretty busy. Try the curry pad Thai noodles. So good!

Under new ownership since last fall, Penn’s Thai Kitchen continues to satisfy the craving for fresh Thai dishes. Tonight I had the Pad Ped Chicken, medium-spice with Thai curry, bamboo shoots, bell peppers and eggplant and rice. Enough for two meals, but I couldn’t help myself. At the NW corner of Crooks and 14 Mile Road.
