Penne Pomadora has been in business for over 25+ years. The service is very dependable and the food is a very good mix of Italian.
The crowds are typically patrons in the neighborhood who have been coming for years.
The pizza is very good, and also are the pasta as well as seafood dishes, and also the daily specials.
Saturday and Sunday have great brunch specials, and also two dollar mimosas and bloody Mary’s.

The marinara sauce with the calamari is the only reason we gave this place a 1 star – the calamari was tasteless and extremely chewy. The pasta was also tasteless and the salmon was just ok. Also not to mention how incredibly unwelcoming the service was aside from the one young man who worked the front desk. I would actually never return and certainly not recommend anyone eat here. The woman with the aggressive blush that works also at the front desk was tapping her pen impatiently as we were looking on the menu to decide our order. Which should have been our reason to leave; take it from me save your $50 which was the cost of this terrible meal. See photo for evidence.

This was the first time I’ve ever went to one of these establishments. I must say the service and other staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. It has a very cozy feel to it.
I had a Cesar salad and the Lasagna. Both were definitely fantastic and the portion size was perfect for lunch. I will be going back for sure and letting others know as well.

A wonderful family restaurant with welcoming staff, warm atmosphere, and a menu full of rewarding classics that will keep you coming back. Respectful and responsive management, courteous staff, and consistently wonderful kitchen.
Note: they have wonderful gluten free pasta

Casual Italian restaurant located in a busy but quaint little area. We were surprised by how much we liked the food! The atmosphere was very chill, but very busy with dine in guests and to-go orders. We definitely hit it at a good time. We started with the fried mozzarella triangles, very good but also filling, could only eat one. We also had the bruschetta, which was easily one of the best I’ve had in Texas! Absolutely delicious, light, full of flavor, with lightly toasted pieces of bread. For dinner I had spaghetti with a bolognese sauce, it was good, but not my favorite, the sauce seemed a bit heavy on the nutmeg, similar to the lasagne which was the choice of my husband. He liked it a lot, but again not my favorite. My son got the spicy vodka sauce pasta and hands down the best entree. We ended with coffee and a slice of tiramisu, delicious. If you like, there is a full bar too. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful place for lunch. Probably one of the best salmons I’ve had to be honest. Ask for it blackened for some extra flavor

I have had lasagna multiple times from this location. Got it tonight and it was really bad. Didn’t look or taste anything like previous orders. Maybe they had a off night or changed some kitchen staff but it was NOT good

Ezekiel was always smiling with positive energy, while running the bar and servicing the patio. Loved the brunch eggs benedict and the $2 bloody Mary’s. Will be back with friends.

My 14 gnocchi pieces were tasty but at almost $2 per piece, I was underwhelmed. Potatoes cost just under $1 per pound and cream around $2 per pound right now so I’m not sure what is driving the cost of this dish. Maybe it’s the six pine nuts they threw on top to get this basil cream to qualify as pesto.
