I had breakfast here and it was amazing. The egg and cheese bagel sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The cappuccino was excellent—rich, smooth, and passed the freshness test. Great quality and a perfect way to start the day. I’ll definitely be back.

This hidden gem of State College is a fantastic find for those looking for authentic Cuban coffee. Though it is located in the State College airport, the first two hours of parking is free. In addition to the coffee, the South American themed empanadas are amazing. Check this place out; you will not be disappointed, and you’ll want to return again and again.

The food here is absolutely fantastic. State College has hardly any variety in what you can get. This hidden gem of a restaurant has amazing food, amazing coffee, killer smoothies and the people that run it are super nice and friendly. There’s also the fact that there’s 2 hours worth of free parking!
If you haven’t tried this place out…you’re not living life to its fullest in state college.

An absolutely perfect cafe con leche!! I am so grateful.
They also make food, sell snacks and a few travel amenities you may need like luggage locks and some toiletries (baby wipes).

Chicken shawarma is delicious! Takes a few minutes but they are always happy to accommodate. I have ordered this a few times and it never disappoints! ✌️

As a Miami, Fl native, the Cuban Panini and the Cafe Cortado are absolutely amazing! The main lot at the airport also has free 2-hour parking. I come to the airport just to get this sandwich! Absolutely love this place.

I’m a frequent customer and the team at Penn Valley is amazing. Wonderful people, incredible customer service, freshest ingredients, delicious food and fantastic coffee/espresso bar. The owner Francisco truly knows how to make any specialty coffee drink with his professional Italian espresso machine, which is always gleaming as he keeps it super clean and tuned, as a barista should. The best roasted coffee beans are sourced and ground on demand for the most flavorful coffee. His wife and co-owner, Alicia, prepares such amazing food made on premises…authentic! Empanadas, Cuban sandwich, Caprese Panino, avocado toast and much more. The cafe incorporates a speciality store with all sorts of food items, many imported items (such as farm-sources chocolate from Ecuador, European specialties, even genuine handmade Alpaca wool clothing items from Ecuador and Penn State attire. The owners Francisco and Alicia are a wonderful family and the absolute nicest people. I order food here even when I’m not flying. A true gem. You won’t be disappointed!

First of all, it’s in the airport – I realize that should be obvious but it wasn’t for us. Second, I stopped in anyway because we needed a quick coffee. There was one man working. The customer in front took about 5 mins to order which was a pretty long time. What was disappointing is that the employee informed me he couldn’t make my coffee before the sandwich which was an 8 min wait. That seemed excessive given it was a drip machine. I was forced to leave without getting anything.

The guy working in the cafe (I think he is the owner) was very rude. I’ve ordered food and a cup of tea. As I have not received any napkin while I got the tea, I needed napkins when I spilt the tea. I went to the counter asking “could I get a napkin?” The guy answered “why do you need that?” with a grumpy face as if I am asking some excessive service.
I answered, “I need napkins as I spilt some tea.” and the guy said “you don’t need napkins for that.” He came over to clean the table, complaining how expensive the napkins are.
He shamed on me with giving me guilty. This was a terrible experience. You don’t wanna come here and ruin your feeling before traveling.
Foodwise, shawarma was pretty good, but the cuban sandwich seems overpriced compared to what it has inside.
