I normally never leave complaints or negative reviews, but my experience today left me genuinely disappointed.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt off. No one greeted us or acknowledged us when we entered. When I went to pay, the cashier never offered me my receipt and immediately turned away. I stood at the counter for several minutes while she looked directly at me and then turned away again. I had to say “excuse me” multiple times just to get her attention to ask for our drink cups.
We sat in the extremely cold lobby waiting for our order. After taking just a few bites of my sub, I realized the steak was completely raw—cold and clearly never touched the grill. While I understand steak can be cooked to preference, when ordering a cheesesteak sub, you do not expect to be served raw, uncooked meat.
When I brought this to the manager’s attention, she told me they are “allowed to serve raw meat because corporate allows it.” They did offer to remake my food, but by that point my stomach was already upset, so I declined. She then turned away and began talking about the situation to her coworkers, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful—especially considering the circumstances.
Overall, this experience was disappointing from start to finish, and the lack of customer service and concern for food safety is truly unacceptable

Really wanted a sub and and fries and pretty much forgot about this place until I drove past it. So I walk in and I’m glad that I did, as I was met with a New York chic, who was just happy to be alive and it showed. She helped me with my order as I am vegetarian and even helped me out with checking out due to my card chip malfunctioning. She literally was a whole vibe and just radiated positive energy. Only had $3 on me to tip, but would have been more. If I ever get an itch for another sub with fries, I would definitely come back and hopefully she’s working

This was our first time at a Penn Station. We needed something quick and had a cheesesteak, chicken parm, and a reuben. The chicken for the chicken parm was grilled, not breaded and had no flavor (we’re from NY/NJ, and the menu description did not say grilled). The reuben had 1 slice of meat (see pictures). Saying that it was disappointing is an understatement. My husband had no words for the cheesesteak… just kept shaking his head. Both my husband and son tried adding the fries (which were burnt AND undercooked at the same time) to their sandwiches to make them taste better (didn’t work). We also ordered the large fries to share, and they presented them on a tray tipped over, so we couldn’t see that they had underfilled the $7 bucket. Needless yo say, this was our first and LAST time eating at this place. We spent over $45 on a sub-par meal.

Went in last night after ordering almost $40 worth of food and had to way more than 5 minutes to be helped and didn’t even get a, we’ll be right with you and then pretty much everyone had an attitude towards us because they were busy… Yeah I’ve managed food before and if that’s busy for you, maybe you need a new job

Kathy was the absolute best worker. She made me feel seen and I felt like I was happier when I left than when I came in. Will only come in if she’s working!

Love the subs and fries. They greet you as you walk in and set wait expectations if asked. The staff seem to work well together and everyone was busy with their assigned tasks. They were polite and friendly with the interactions.

We just placed an takeout order over the
Phone with Michelle J. She was professional and really kind! Usually the service there is fine/basic or even rushed, but Michelle was really nice while still being quick and efficient. Food was also great, like usual. Thanks for the great service, Michelle!!
